The Studio at the Stone House is a self-catering cottage, just 200m from the beach. It's tucked away behind one of Muizenberg's oldest houses (dating 1901) on a quiet road in the village.

The studio is light and modern, especially equipped for your comfort and convenience. It's best feature is probably the large wind-free private patio for outdoor lounging and alfresco dining. AND we're solar-powered, so you have uninterrupted access to wifi!

The space
It has one double bedroom that opens onto the patio. The living space has a dining table, a lounge area and a fully equipped kitchenette. There's a small wet room (shower only) inside the studio, and an outside shower.

There’s a large private terrace (partly shaded) for lounging, enjoying breakfast in the morning sun and evening candlelight.

Guest are most welcome to use our braai (barbecue area) if in the mood.

Guest access
You’ll have your own set of keys to the studio and to the entrance gate to the property. The key box at the front gate, makes it easy to manage keys if you're heading out for a surf, or a run.

Other things to note
We're so happy to have solar-power :) Note that while this keeps the Internet, fridge and lights on, the rest of the kitchen appliances do not work during 'load-shedding'. Luckily, you have a choice of great restaurants in close walking distance and food deliveries to chose from.

Where you’ll be

The studio is just a short walk to the legendary Muizenberg Beach and Surfers’ Corner. You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do and places to explore! ...Sea swims, surfing, kiteboarding, sea-kayaking, standup paddling, hiking...

Muizenberg is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area and its exceptional beauty. Kalk Bay, with its vintage shops and eclectic vibe, is within walking distance. The train from Muizenberg to Simon's Town snakes along the ocean, and is a great way to explore the local towns.

Boulders Beach is 20 minutes' drive away, and Cape Point Nature Reserve can be reached in an hour. The Constantia Wine Route starts 15 minutes from here. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is 20 minutes' drive, and it takes about 40 minutes to get to inner city Cape Town. (Uber easily accessible.)
