The property is located 1km from a pub, restaurant, shop and pharmacy! But unfortunately there is no public transport nearby (it's a 30 minute walk to the city!) so you would need a car to stay or be prepared to use taxis (€10 to the city).
Evelyn is very welcoming and her home is beautiful. Rooms are really well equipped and comfortable. I loved the area because even though you are in the country you are very close to the city and the motorway.
Evelyn made us feel welcome and right at home. She provided us with a map to nearby grocery/shopping (5 min drive) as well a fresh baked muffins upon arriving. We had no problem cooking a home cooked meal or doing laundry. All necessary kitchen/laundry items were available. If we needed something (french press coffee pot or wine/bottle opener), Evelyn was sure to supply it for us. The listing was accurate as described, clean and comfortable. We had home cooked breakfast and fresh linens from Evelyn each day. Location is easily accessible to Limerick city center and major motorway. Evelyn is a great source of information for traveling around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and chatting with Evelyn. We definitely would stay again. The only small frustration is the wifi extender in the carriage house was very spotty.
I was in Limerick for the Pig'N'Porter Tag rugby festival. The accommodation was pretty close to Old Crescent RFC, maybe 1-1.5 mile away (€5 by cab - and I think roughly €10 to train station).
The apt was very clean and comfortable with all mod cons. Breakfast in the morning was superb, tasty and very filling! I was lucky to able to move at all after it for the first game!
Evelyn was the perfect host, dropping me over to Old Crescent on the first evening, and ensuring I made it up for breakfast both days.
Great value for a couple or party of 3. For solo traveller maybe try the B&B itself.
Stayed in the converted carriage house. Nice size for a family (kids on a couch, small bed next to the parents bed). Superb breakfast with many choices available. Nice garden outside. Loved the details in the common/dining areas. Quiet location just off a motorway exit made it easy to get to and to go places.
Great location. Loved nearby Adare village and Bunratty Castle & folk park.

About the Host, Evelyn
Hi I am Evelyn, I live in Limerick in southern Ireland. I run a bed and breakfast and have been doing so for the past 25 years and enjoy meeting and talking to people and find them facinating. I also have a separate self catering apartment which people use. My children have all emigrated and I enjoy the company.I have two small dogs and they are very good hosts and insist on greeting each guest.I find most of the guests very friendly and informal.
