Frank Lloyd Wright believed that a house had the potential to change those who lived in it. With cutting edge architecture and design, this destination will ensure you experience Austin and South Congress to the fullest extent. The outside of the house gives a hint to the inside. A waterfall and koi greet you at the entrance, along with a perfectly manicured lawn. Inside is a spacious 2,200 square foot layout with three bedrooms, a porch, and a living room with modern furniture. It has three beds (king, queen, queen) and a couch downstairs that is good for sleeping on. The house is very well-lit with natural light.
The house is just two blocks away from South Congress, Hotel San Jose, JO's coffee, Home Slice Pizza, Guerros, and all of the food carts. Close enough to walk to the action, but removed enough to hear crickets and frogs at night. Across the street is Big Stacy park with a 1.5 mile walking path next to a flowing creek, parks and tables for picnics, public tennis courts, and playgrounds. A quarter mile away is a public pool that is heated year-round and used by triathletes in the area.
**************NOTICE FEBRUARY 2014*******************
I am now forced to charge hotel taxes (city and state) at 15% of the total prices of the listing. I will collect this money upon your arrival.
My recommendations for things to do, within walking distance of the house are:
1. Continental club + C-Boy's: Best damn music in the city with the best ambience. Robert Plant lives in the neighborhood and has made appearances there.
2. Botticelli's: Conveniently located next to the Continental Club for a Chicago-style italian dinner.
3. JOs Coffee: Good coffee, and you can take a picture in front of the famous "I love you so much" sign.
4. Homeslice pizza: Perfect for a late night bite....I've gotten a slice as late as 3am!

We were in Austin for work for the SXSW festival and the house was a geat location to be near downtown and close walking to South Congress shops and food. Neighborhood was quiet and clean and Patrick's house was nicely appointed with everything we needed. Patrick is a great host and has lots of knowledge of Austin and things to do while you are there. Would definitely stay there again.
The reservation was canceled 14 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Excellent. Patrick was a fantastic host and the location of the house is excellent with South Congress and all the bars and great independent food places easily in walking distance. The house was easy to get to from the main highway and perfectly positioned to access the best of what Austin has to offer. The house itself was beautiful and perfect for our stay, clean and very well equipped. Our daughter loved feeding the fish each day and the friends we had over to meet us were in awe of our accommodation.
Our host Patrick could not have done more for us, flexible with our arrival and departure times, lending me a bike pump so I could get some air into my bike tyres and leaving out an array of gels ahead of the Austin Ironman 70.3, brilliant.
We will most definitely stay again and highly recommend that anyone we know who is travelling to Austin does the same.
We stayed for 3 nights. The house was great, in a great location. Pat was an excellent host; he was flexible on arrival/departure times and was also available for questions during the stay.
Great place right close to soco. quiet neighborhood and ideal for our little family get together. Thanks Patrick.
Stellar digs. Clean. modern, spacious accommodation. Excellent location near bustling main drag (Congress)--but removed enough for privacy and uninterrupted relaxation. Most gracious host. Highly recommended.
I'm from Chicago originally and have lived in Austin for five years working for Flocasts, a startup that is like ESPN for Sports that ESPN doesn't cover. You'll also notice by the themed artwork in my house that I've lived in New Orleans and am a sailor. My house is strategically located walking distance to my two favorite places to eat and drink: Botticelli's and Continental Club. I enjoy feeding the five koi that live in the pond in front, and making fauncy cocktails with leaves from the mint bush next to them.
Help yourself to the mint, feed the fish, and I hope that you enjoy your stay!
