A railroad depot renovated into a bunkhouse located midway on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. It includes 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, and bathroom with shower. A/C & heat, coffee maker, dorm fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. Linens and towels provided. One queen bed, the other twin bunk beds. The Futon in the living area folds out. Conveniently located 2 blocks from downtown. No pets please.

The space
The Malvern Depot sits midway on the 63 mile Wabash Trace Nature Trail. The cozy cabin sits directly on the trail. This is a great over night stay for bike enthusiasts starting or ending in Malvern, IA. The Depot includes a walk in shower with acid washed floor, new beds, and area kitchenette that includes microwave, toaster oven and dorm style refrigerator. No stove. *THINGS TO NOTE: the Malvern Depot has WIFI included. Classic Cafe and the library have WiFi also. *The Depot Airbnb location is located at the base of the Main Street hill, WEST on 5th street for 2 1/2 blocks. On the south side of the street there is a large storage shed at the corner, with the Depot sitting beside it. The Depot is on the paved Wabash Nature Trail. Graveled parking with wooden posts designating the area. No pets please.

Guests can access the Depot through a touch key pad. There are two steps to get into the Depot.

The Malvern Depot is part of the Malvern Corridor Beautification Project. Proceeds go to the Depot and trail maintenance. The Malvern Depot sits approximately halfway on the 63 mile Wabash Trace Nature Trail. The trailhead starts in Council Bluffs Iowa(22mi).
The nearest town heading north from Malvern is Silver City(8mi) with Silver Spokes Bar & Grill. Continue another 4 miles north to Mineola. Tobi Jacks bar & grill is famous for the Thursday night taco ride in the summer months.
Heading south from the Malvern Depot is a 13 mile to Imogene. The Emerald Isle is currently closed. Continue south another 8 miles to Shenandoah with several options for eating, shopping, and more.
Either direction offers a great canopy of trees and country scenery. The Wabash Trace is a hidden jewel for trail riding and escape from the city.
