Centred around the newly developed market square on the North side of the River Liffey, Smithfield is where old Dublin tradition meets post-Celtic Tiger creativity. Bars like Frank Ryan’s and Dice tiptoe between the traditional and the hip, making Smithfield perfect for drinking in the culture, whilst urban art project the Smithfield Art Tunnel and Block T provide gallery, studio and community spaces for locals and visitors alike. Take a walk across the central market square from the Old Jameson Distillery and you’ll find the Lighthouse Cinema – voted by ArtInfo as one of the coolest cinemas in the world - that specialises in showcasing the best Irish and international films. The Cobblestone Pub stands as the authentic face of Irish trad sessions.
This heady mix of Old Dublin charm and New Dublin cool makes Smithfield the perfect place to go if you want to see what a city’s creative revival looks like.
The Luas Tram is around the corner.
Dublin Bikes stations one block away.

Wonderful apartment in a great location. Best to LUAS stop and Dublin Bikes station. Very close to city centre but quiet. Our hosts were so lovely to deal with and it really felt like a home away from home. Would highly recommend.
We loved staying at this airBnB! Robert and David were extremely helpful and welcoming from the beginning, and sent us very useful guides before we even arrived. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and located in a brilliant spot of town with great cafes and pubs nearby. The large windows offers panoramic views of the city below. Everything was wonderful- thanks Robert and Dave!
Great place for exploring the city and Robert and David made us welcome and left us a set of guides and tips on some great pubs to visit and places to eat. Nice apartment with some great views of the city and 10 minutes away from the heart of the city. Great city great apartment and it won't be the last time we visit
We had a great weekend in Dublin and it was partially because of the great accommodation. Dave and Rob's place was clean and welcoming. We took full advantage of the cozy living area. Another great thing about the apartment is the location, just above the distillery which is a fun place to visit in Dublin. Plenty of places nearby where you can go out to have some food or a few drinks. The old city center is only about 15 minutes walk. Last but not least I have to mention that our host Dave went the extra mile and fulfilled our request for a really late check-in (after midnight) which we really appreciate. The document he provided with some of the local coffee shops, restaurants, bars and attractions was also very useful and accurate.
Our host David met us at the apartment on our arrival. The apartment was a good size and very comfortable. The area was great as it was quiet with good eateries by the Jameson Distillery. The tram just around corner was handy. Robert and David provided lots of useful information.
