Top Level Summary

This is a highly regarded and quiet location, on a tree lined street in one of Toronto’s finest neighbourhoods. Nestled in Deer Park / Forest Hill, we offer two double sized furnished bedrooms with a shared bathroom. These are known as the 'East Bedroom' and the 'West Bedroom'. Though you relax in a leafy, quiet residential area, a great benefit of this location is that we are just 5 minutes walking distance to the vibrant atmosphere of Mid-town Yonge Street, with super shopping, restaurants, banks and a 24 hour grocery store.
The Space We Share

This spacious 3 bedroom apartment is approx 1,600 sq ft (150 sq m). As a guest, you have shared use of the large kitchen, the 20’ x 20’ (6m x 6m) living room / dining area with a balcony overlooking green space. The entire space is sparkling clean, highly polished floors and freshly painted. The 2 guest bedrooms are finished simply and elegantly, with an absence of clutter. Both have Queen sized beds, have large closets with plenty of hanging space and a dresser. A large window in each provides great daylight from a southern exposure, but the view is discretely screened for shade and the rooms are not overlooked by neighbours. Both rooms have ceiling fans, and for those who like it cool, there is a/c only in the living / dining room. The ‘West Bedroom’ is slightly larger than the ‘East Bedroom’ and has a large desk. They share a bathroom which hails from the 60’s with a classic pink and black vibe. If you are using one of the rooms and the other bedroom is vacant, you have sole use of the bathroom! It is great if you book both rooms to stay together with friends, as these rooms are tucked away from the living area and the master bedroom, giving you an extra feeling of privacy.
The Location

(website hidden) gives our location a 93 out of 100, calling it a “walker’s paradise”. It is truly an ideal place to stay for anyone visiting Toronto! Located just one block west of Yonge St. and one block North of St. Clair Ave. West, the streets are well lit and travelled, so guests tell me they feel very safe in this neighbourhood. Staying here places you 10 minutes to downtown Toronto! It is only a 5 mins walk to St Clair Subway, and there is 24 hour Bus service via #320 Yonge and #312 St Clair Blue Night Bus.
Respect for Each Other

We like to laugh and enjoy ourselves, but we know many guests appreciate staying in a safe place free from cigarettes, alcohol and substance abuse. It keeps us all safe. If you live like that at home, why shouldn’t you rely on that from where you stay, especially when you are sharing space? For more info please look at our House Rules for Safety and Security.
A Little About You

The ideal guest to share this lovely home is likely to be professional and 30+, easygoing, like the hosts, and appreciates a space that is neat, clean and organized.
Our Signature 'Always Breakfast'

To start your day, self-serve breakfast is provided, with croissants, breads, and bagels, with fruit, yogurt, cereals, pure natural orange juice, apple juice together with quality coffee and teas - in true Bed and Breakfast fashion.

Oh, and if you feel like it, the Breakfast, and all that it includes is always available around the clock, day and night, throughout your stay! So if you return after a day of sightseeing, doing your relocation searches, or are settled in for the evening and feeling hungry, we insist you help yourself... The `Always Breakfast` is one of the Perks of staying with us here at Excl Mid-town!
Meal Arrangements

You will likely choose to eat out in the evenings with so many interesting places to dine, but have the use of the kitchen if you wish to make light snacks.
Diversity includes our Cat

We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable family type situation, and welcome 'friends we have not met yet'. We extend a warm welcome whether Male / Female / Straight or Gay. To appreciate 'Snowball', you probably like cats! She is super friendly and loves women! She looks pretty exotic in pure white and long hair, so beware if you wear black and like to cuddle! Unfortunately, 'Snowball' likes the place to herself, so we can’t accept any other visiting cats or dogs......meow!
Wifi, TV and Freedom

Oh, to help you stay connected, there is free Wi-fi in the bedrooms and cable TV, 46 in screen, in the living room, and to help give you freedom, you will have your own keys to come and go as you please!

**Please, if you would like to book or make an enquiry, do so after having put a photo and a little information about yourself on your profile, and the purpose of your stay. I am sure it makes you feel more comfortable to see me and my place; the same is true for me when I see a photo and some information about the person booking! Many thanks.**

Check-in time: 3:00 -- Check-out time: 12:00 (Please contact us if these times are a problem for you. We are flexible.)

Before booking either the ‘East Bedroom’ or the ‘West Bedroom’, please message us to see which of the rooms are available, and for how long, and if for 1 or 2 guests. If you want to book the 2 rooms at the same time with your friend(s), please let us know beforehand so we can make sure we manage the reservations online, as they need to be done separately, so we can avoid disappointment!

If 'Exclusive Midtown' sounds like it might be suitable, feel free to contact us with any questions. Also, please check back for updates, and especially any special deals to fill any gaps between bookings. All messages are responded to promptly!

We can't wait to meet you!

  • Brian was excellent! I had such a nice stay at his place. Where shall I start? The location is top! Very clean, friendly and safe. Short walk to the subway, fast to downtown. The house, your room, very big and absolutely clean. Nice furniture, into detail. The breakfast every morning was great. Always toast, fruits, coffee, juice; GREAT! Brian is very respectful and helpful. We had some nice chats. He's a very polite person.
I had a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon.

You will have a great time at his place and may you'll find a new friend:)

    Thank you Brian and Agistin!!

  • After reading the reviews Brian received on Airbnb, we knew his beautiful apartment in Deer Park was the place for us. My girlfriend and I recently relocated from Ireland and needed somewhere to stay while searching for a home in Toronto. His home truly was a home away from home. Our room was large and bright, beautifully decorated and air conditioned. We had access to the kitchen and his famous All Day Breakfast which was always plentiful. Relaxing in the living area was also a pleasure with the comfortable seating and large screen TV! Brian was incredibly helpful and informative throughout our week long stay with him. As a well travelled host, Brian knew exactly how we were feeling upon arriving in a new country and he gave us a lot of excellent advice which we are very grateful for. We were lucky to find a home during the week we stayed in Deer Park.  Our new home was not ready to move in straight away so we moved to another fabulous property of Brian's in Leeward Gardens as (unsurprisingly) the popularity of our room in Deer Park meant it was booked for the following week by a returning guest! We enjoyed our stay in Deer Park, the location and amenities are second to none and we would happily recommend both Brian and his wonderful home to anyone looking for a place to stay in Toronto.

  • Brian was a great host. The place was very accessible, and Brian was very happy to help out with anything you might need. The room is very comfortable, and it was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend both the host Brian as well as the apartment overall.

  • I booked very last minute (3 hours! before check-in) and I was really surprised that Brian replied so quickly. I had not expected that! I stayed 9 days at Brian's apartment, in the West Bedroom.
Brian is a very friendly, open and an interesting guy with whom I enjoyed chatting.
There is an elevator in the house, so it is convenient to handicapped people as well.
The room is big, clean, calm and bright.
You have your own bathroom, which you share, if there is another guest in the East Bedroom.
I liked the possibility to have "always breakfast" 24 hours a day.
The location is central and also green. The subway station St.Clair/Yonge is a 5min walk through the safe neighbourhood, the tram is within a 2 min walk.
There you have many restaurants and shopping stores.
I would book this place again, when I come to Toronto next time.

  • The apartment is in a very clean, safe and walk-able neighbourhood. I have options of both Streetcar and Subway within a 2 minute walk.
The Room I stayed in is big, open and clean. Very nice to walk into a room. The ceiling fan was both the main light source and a good way to regulate room temperature. I also like I could open the window for fresh air.

Brian is exactly as advertised. He is friendly, professional and through. I would recommend this place to anyone that wishes to visit Toronto and needed a place to stay.

  • I had the pleasure and delight of renting a week's stay for my visiting relative at Brian's b and b abode.

So clean elegant great area near all transport and Brian's help and hospitality above and beyond.

My Sister now wants to move to Canada and was more than happy in her safe and colourful adventures.

This abode is in the cleanest and freshest part of Toronto.

What a great introduction to Brian and Air BnB.

I highly recommend this lovely space packed with lovely care and hosting.

Hi, let me tell you a little about myself. - First, my fundamental principle is to think of myself as the customer. - Second, I am an easy going individual who enjoys meeting people and sharing this great city of Toronto. oh, my personal motto is "Aim high, land high" I lived in Europe for over 26 years, travelled to over 120 countries and stayed in quality hotels in over 250 cities. I am delighted to be part of the Airbnb community and to offer a high standard of accommodation for the discerning traveller or corporate executive. I have taken a step back from the world of marketing management for a major global financial services group, and more recently, fundraising with Canada's major vision loss charity and now devote my time to volunteerism and giving back to the community. Am very involved in helping to fill the day to day needs and expectations of hosting guests. I am contactable 24/7 by phone. I am readily available throughout the working day to deal with any unforeseen circumstances. I am happy to act as a local Emergency Contact/ Liaison, if required (please see my notes about House Rules - as I take Safety and Security seriously). Unusually for a 'Torontonian', I own a vehicle and am happy to drive you around (of course, subject to me being available!). It can really give you a view of the city only residents (and drivers with passengers!) can experience. Toronto is a beautiful city with many hidden treasures, and a short drive proves it. I have been committed to providing excellent Customer Service all my life, and I am really pleased that that Airbnb has created such a useful and practical social networking tool which can make high quality properties accessible to discerning guests who appreciate the benefits. Hope you enjoy Toronto, wherever you stay! Brian Trust and Security I am very happy to chat about the properties and their features and benefits. It is also good for us to get to know one another a little prior to you placing a firm booking. Airbnb see the value in that. So you will find I ask for your phone number to be verified, a photograph, as well as a little info about your trip. Cheers, and happy travels! Brian
