A Rudraksha tree forest with tropical trees and understory invite you to explore the trails. Proximity to open space creates unique adventure possibilities. A writers, photographers, artist, nature lover, sunbather, gardener, meditator, healer, heal-ee's paradise. Close to some of the finest beaches in the world, surrounded by predominately organic farms and tropical fruit stands and centrally located to Kilauea town and all the amazing scenery and activities of Kauai's north shore. You will be awestruck by the peace, beauty and grandeur of this land and beautiful home. Exquisitely decorated with fine furnishings and eclectic art, the home is predominantly organic and all natural too.
Available to you is the entire house, gourmet kitchen, high end clothes washer & dryer, dishwasher, purified water filtration, wifi high speed internet access, mostly organic linens, organic and natural household, king bed, twin bed & double size day bed that sleeps 2 in the living room. Natural, organic and recycled products are used in the house, optional chemical free hot tub at additional cost. Access to open space.
Interaction with Guests
We believe in peaceful enjoyment by our guests. Therefore interaction with owner or manager will be only if necessary mainly through email and telephone for routine business. Contact Person is available for check ins / outs and any issues that arise.
On this 3 acre land, there is another small space, sometimes rented to guests. It is called 'Glamping' and it is hard to see or hear them due to the distance, topography and vegetation. Glampers and the house do not share any common facilities. At the most, you will see the Glampers car parked at the entrance to the land, and they will walk down the driveway near the house to access their space.
Things we value: the rural nature, peaceful abundance, incredible beauty and landscaping. Amazing beach within a 10-15 min walk down a country lane, and several more world class beaches within bike, moped or short drive distance.
Most guests have a car and it is highly recommended. If not, the nearest bus stop is 2 miles away and has bike/ride facilities. Believe it or not, hitchhiking on Kauai is regarded as a safe, effective and accepted local custom.
Other Things to Note
Ideally suited for a couple, a couple with 1 or 2 singles, or with preparation on this end, 2 couples. The second bedroom represented is a convertible lanai with a twin size teak bali day bed. This can be modified to be a king bed for a couple. I've had people ask me why I don't sleep there as they think it's the most desirable and beautiful space due to the view and breeze. Things to watch out for: Natural bodies of water, a spiral staircase in the house can be challenging for those with mobility issues or dangerous for small children. Hilly terrain, Hot tub, steep [paved] driveway, intermittent utility outages are common on Kauai. The road into our sub-divison serves high end residences,agricultural estates, and is unpaved. Vegetation, and natural standing water make mosquitos a fact of life here.
The property is listed for sale and there is a minimal possibility of a showing during your stay, however no guest yet has had one. It is likely there will be no effect on you and this will be invisible but you are notified. We will make every effort to let you know the day before. I understand notifying you is the most important thing, so you are informed, not surprised or anything unexpected occurs. A showing will likely be 15-30 min max inside the house, likely to be at a time when you are out anyway, between the hours of 10-5. If you have any questions contact Gregory on my cell numb(phone number hidden). We ask that you do not speak to any of the parties on the showing no matter who they are or what they say or ask. - This space and property are detailed clean, consciously prepared, and as such are sacred. It is imperative the space shall not be dishonored, destroyed, abused or soiled beyond regular cleaning.
-Any drug use, or excessive alcohol use is prohibited.
-Any guests beyond the reserved parties are prohibited.
-If the guest(s) violates the house rules, they will be asked to leave the premises.
