Tiny house/big personality! Stay on our 350 acre farm where Bigfoot sightings & dark history have occurred. Intriqued by the paranormal? We provide ghosthunting gear for your visit. Cozy private cabin is nestled under old trees in a mountain valley on a reclaimed coal mine site. 30 minutes to New River Gorge National Park. 20 minutes to WV Bigfoot museum. 10 minutes to Summersville Lake. 5 minutes to a Winery and Distillery. Walk our farm trails, relax & stargaze.

Welcome to Mystic Pond Cabin here on our 350 acre farm, Raven Rock Farm.

* 5 minutes from Kirkwood Winery & Isiaah Morgan Distillery

*10 minutes- Summersville Lake

*20 minutes- West Virginia Bigfoot Museum and the Flatwoods Green Monster Museum

*20 minutes to Haunted Haymond House

* 30 minutes - New River Gorge National Park

* 40 minutes to haunted historic Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. ( I wrote a book on it! )

*45 minutes to historic ghostly coal town of Thurmond

Our custom tiny cabin is about 500 sq ft inside with with a 600 ft deck and is nestled among trees in a mountain valley. Large back deck with lots of string lights that set the mood at night. Gas grill on back deck & plenty of seating for nighttime fun and star gazing in gravity recliners.
Campfire ring by the pond with some starter wood and seating.
4 wooden rockers on the front porch give you a place to watch the mist rise on the pond at night as you sip something special.

Morning time brings deer, squirrels, Mourning doves, bluejays and cardinals. Chances are you'll see Cardi B and Cardi C, our resident cardinals.

*Our farm is 350 acres in size with several trails to walk and explore, some as long as two miles round trip.

*There is a farm Sunset/Stargaze area 1/2 mile hike away with a picnic table. Dragonfly Run is a small creek outside cabin door. Mystic Pond has a small dock and is just outside your front cabin door.

*Visit our Jeep Graveyard

*We have had Bigfoot sightings and ghostly occurrences on the farm and you will find a small basket of ghosthunting gear in your cabin to use if you are curious.

Summertime: Fish the stocked pond right out your front door- no license is needed!

BEDROOMS
--Bedrooms both feature gel/ memory foam mattresses (medium-plush Vibe brand)
- Luggage racks and hooks in bedrooms. --Dresser in bedroom #1.
--Hall closet has a small iron and ironing board, Sound Machine, flashlights, phone charger cords, extra supplies, bug spray, Bluetooth speaker, access to cleaners, mop, broom etc.

Outside "Mine Shed" has yoga mats, flashlights, newspaper for fire starter, hot dog sticks for the campfire, 2 fishing rods, bug spray, Corn Hole and some kids toys.

Guest access
You have the entire Tiny House to yourself. Lots of trees, a small creek and 1/2 acre stocked pond outside your cabin door. At night the magic happens with twinkle lights, solar lights and eerie green dock lights begin to glow. Love hiking? Nearly 5 miles of marked trails to explore, a Jeep Graveyard, a train trestle bridge over a creek and for the adventurous soul, a Bigfoot Trail!

Other things to note
Farm animals:
We have several ducks who may wander down to see you. They eat birdseed as a treat.:-) There is a container of birdseed inside shed. Feel free to give them a cup.:-)

Noise: We do get occasional road noise from trucks on a gravel road.

Paranormal: This is a beautiful wooded area and a bit magical at night.
Please remember that we have had some unusual things happen on this farm and that when this property was a coal mine, 7 deaths occurred throughout its operational years of 1940-2015.
Stories have been shared to us of past Bigfoot sightings and we would love to share those with you as well. Feel free to read about them in the House Manual in the cabin or to ask us.

Welcome to Mystic Pond Cabin on our 350 acre farm just 5 minutes from Summersville, West Virginia. Surrounded by mountains & valleys but just a few minutes to shopping, hotels and restaurants in Summersville. Cell phone reception may be iffy at times but most guests have signal. The driveway to the cabin is private, level & gravelled but in wintertime an all-wheel or 4 wheel drive is helpful.
