Spacious, clean and modern 1 Bed apartment, 4th Floor (with lifts) 5-6 minutes from High Street Kensington Tube station, Central London. Double bedroom, Large living room, fitted luxury kitchen, full bathroom, balcony and 24 hour security recepton. There is a further sofa bed and fold out bed in the living room allowing occupancy up to 4 people.
Wireless internet, washer/dryer, and parking within building if needed.
The apartment is located in a charming street in the heart of Kensington, London which is lined with blossoming trees. The apartment is just a few steps from the small shopping village of Chelsea which includes a post office/newsagent, butcher, grocer, deli/cafe, flower shop, and a wonderful Michelin starred French Restaurant called Racine. Other famous Michelin restaurants and bars nearby include Tom Aitkens Restaurant, The Capital Restaurant, The Collection Bar, and for Japanese food lovers, Zuma.
It is an easy walk to Brompton Road, Kensington High Street, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens. 10-15 minutes walk to the Natural History, Victoria and Albert, and Science Museums in South Kensington. Ten minutes to Harrods.
Check in is normally at 4pm, however, subject to the previous guests leaving on time, we usually are able to accommodate your arrival to drop off luggage beforehand.
The apartment is non smoking, but there is a balcony at the rear of the apartment (which is situated itself at the rear of the building) which overlooks some gardens, that can be used by smokers.
Check out is at 11am and you can simply leave the keys on the kitchen table and close the door behind you when you leave.
We had a wonderful time at Patrick's flat. It is conviently located to tube stations and restaurantes. The flat itself had a lot of amenities such as wash, tv, internet, kitchen and plenty of space to unwind after long days of seeing the sites.
Perfectly located apartment! 5 minute walk from Earl's Court tube and lots of restaurants and bars!
Clean with all the basic amenities and secure building!
Patrick provided lots of information and made our trip really easy! 3 of us stayed and there was plenty of room
The photos were inaccurate,the furniture was very different and very uncomfortable. The place was very dirty, mould and filth in the bathroom. This was our first and last airbnb experience. We were afraid of being evicted as the host had many unpaid bills and was breaking the building rules by subletting this apartment.
Absolutely gobsmacked with what you have written - I've reviewed our message thread, which was so pleasant and nice. I do not understand at all why none of what you allege was ever brought up between us. Unpaid bills may relate to previous occupiers which in a London apartment is common, and I presume you were going through these other people's post ? I find this review very odd, and if it is a genuine review, a pretty dishonest one at best.
Great host with great Accomodation! very helpful with any questions I had and willing to help. Accomodation is I a great location and just how pictured. Very pleased and would definitely stay again!!
We stayed in the apartment for 5 days recently, and I have to admit i was fairly disappointing with the apartment. I don't necessarily blame the owner or the pictures but the reviews provided by others. The purpose of these reviews is not to be mean for the sake or being mean (or nice for the sake of being nice) but to help educate other renters and urge the owner to take appropriate action.
This apartment has very good potential with just some minor changes done by the owner. Let me just lay our some of the basic items that need attention (and probably can be covered in the amount of $ is gave in the 5 days we stayed there).
- Old and colorful towels. Hotels and apartments must provide fairly new and white towels so you can be assured they are cleaned with bleach.
- Closets filled with junk (including old, used sheets and bedding).
- Very uncomfortable mattress on bed in the bedroom. Bedding was also not white (see comment re: towels)
- Very old carpet in the bedroom (hardwood is also very old). Solution to this is to either change the carpet with new flooring or at a minimum place a couple of nice clean rugs in the bedroom and the living room.
- Bathroom was remodeled but the door and tub (with ring stains)are very old. So the pictures may be misleading
- Kitchen was remodeled and nice but the overall cleanliness of the apartment made us weary of using the appliances and the cooking ware in the kitchen.
The bottom line is that these are very easy things to change and the owner should change. If more constructive feedback was provided by others the owner may spend the couple of hundred $'s to make it up to par.

The apartment itself did not seem very clean (of course that is not the owners fault).
The location is very good being 3-5 minute walk from Earls Court Station, but if I was giving advise to anyone I would suggest you stay closer to the South Kensington metro stop...it's just seemed to be a nicer location with couple of nice streets with restaurants and cafes.
The flat was exactly as described and very good location.
It was easy to get into and the instructions to gain access etc were very easy to follow. Very secure also. The flat had everything that we needed for our stay and was clean and tidy.
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much.
