Interaction with Guests
We help where we can, are komunikativ and share our experiences and tips you further to our guests.
San Juanillo is a small, pretty village with two good restaurants, 1 little hotel and a well-stocked mini supermarket and huge soccerfield. The people are friendly, always have time to talk and help you friendly. The two beaches are beautiful, great for swimming and snorkeling. Also you can buy fresh fish daily.
Several times a day there is public bus service to Santa Cruz and after Ostional as well as to Nosara.
If you miss the bus you can go around with taxi or just hich.
Other Things to Note
Unfortunately Maggie wasnt at the house during my visit but the people who manager her property were a delight. Genuine, helpful, interesting and great conversation. The property is quite secluded so if you want to be close to nature in relaxed peaceful surroundings this is the spot. I loved it.
The real life in Costa Rica is in Maggie's place! Surrounded by nature you can enjoy the wild with the help of Alen, Johan and Lina.
accurate description of the house. the hosts Johan Alan Josua and their Mom are waaaaaayyyy cool people. Was a very very nice experience staying with them. A local phone number for the hosts (instead of owner's phone in Germany) would have been helpful for directions in finding the house after dark when it is midnight in Germany. I would definitely stay there again.
Maggie's german getting there instructions translated by (website hidden) was very hard to decipher , but thanks to the staff at Ancient Peoples(very good food by the way) we finally found our destination. Easier directions would be -travel north on 160, first home on left after crossing the rio Rosario about 5km before San Juanillo. Watch for the gate with Cafe Rio on it. Unfortunatly we did not get to meet Maggie as she had returned to Germany, but her caretaker Johan was a delight. Very helpful in showing and telling us of the local hilites of nature and the people. It was a perfect place to end our vacation in Costa Rica. very relaxing, beautiful area, swimming in the Pacific, sitting on the beach ,watching the sun go down, and the red full moon rising. I will go back someday.
Beautiful, secluded location. The host was so friendly and extra accommodating, even when we arrived late (midnight!). He even found a taxi that could help us get there.
Hi guys, we look forward to your visit. If you have any questions or problems let us know, we´ll try to help you. My daughter and I spent many years in our house on the Rio Rosario. I speak German, English and Spanish, our friend Johan is from Costa Rica and speak very good English as well. We love animals and the grandiose nature in Costa Rica, it is no different in our beautiful garden with many trees, palm trees and exotic plants. We have 1 cute dog living with us, too.
