As the host, I will most usually be present during anyone's stay in my condominium as I occupy it myself. The 2,000-plus square foot unit, located in Chicago's vied-after GOLD COAST (on the edge of River North and right off the "Magnificent Mile"), offers exquisite sophistication and very nice amenities. Comparable hotels (4 & 5 star) within a mile of this region go for $340-$790 a night in OFF season. Other hotels (3 star), are around $300+ in popular seasons (late September, mid October, November-December, April-July). You have an opportunity to stay in a more beautiful, more spacious, and far more affordable building and unit by renting through me.
Here's the skinny...
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:
The building's location is where many of the hottest restaurants, designer shops, most tourist attractions, and premier clubs reside. It's also phenomenally convenient in terms of ALL public transportation options (all of the "el"/subway lines are walking distance), it's steps away from the coveted Oak Street beach, American Girl store, Museum of Contemporary Art... For business endeavors, the highway-access is 2 blocks away. It is the center of the most famous scenic city-scape and celebrity sightings.
Security is stellar; 24 hour doormen and on-property maintenance are always at your service, as well as discrete surveillance cameras in every elevator and on every floor, in every walkway/hallway...
The gym, cardio and weight room is open every hour. The enormous rooftop is one of the best west-facing views in Chicago with numerous grills. A dry cleaner with package delivery and alterations shop is located on the first floor. A private garage is inside the building. The building is set upon a very popular bistro that is open every day and night of the year (10am-4am), and you are literally a few *steps* away from the Apple Store, Nike Store, Disney Store, Victoria's Secret, La Perla, the Tribune Tower, The Water Tower, Nordstrom's, numerous parks and endless restaurants and bars. (This goes back to location, but, still...)
THE CONDO ITSELF:
A 2,000-plus square foot south-east corner unit on the 33rd floor with a private balcony overlooking the glittering canyons of architectural splendor as well as the shimmering lake which peers through the buildings and sets a backdrop that is quite remarkable. There are three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms; blond hardwood flooring in the common areas and new carpeting in each bedroom. Every room has ceiling to floor windows, each with it's own fabulous view! The kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances as well as a dishwasher. There is an in-unit brand new washer/dryer and an abundance of closet space throughout. The layout of this condo is exceptionally convenient for privacy and efficiently utilizes the space more than most places I have seen downtown. The building is relatively new (just under ten years old) and it is maintained in pristine condition. The condo is fully furnished, I have decorated the place with an Art Nouveau/deco flare complimented by contemporary aesthetics utilizing 1960's modern-style accents. The floor is very quiet, the only noise one hears is the city sounds below. I live here full-time and a corporate jet pilot rents out a room between his constant travels. We keep the place clean, comfortable and friendly.
I am clean, artsy, gregarious, welcoming, warm and very into playing jazz CD's as often as possible. ;) The place will be cozy, impressively cool, and our interaction will most likely be very familiar and fun-based. I'm a nightbird, but I won't make noise if you're an early-bird. I can introduce you to people, places, concepts about the city itself... Or, I can leave you alone. We can figure it out as we discuss your plans upon booking the room.
You will have a far more memorable experience in this condo, with a jazz singer as your host than you will in some cookie-cutter hotel room.
Hope to meet you soon!!!!
I occupy this home.

Erin is a fantastic, honest and cool person... It's a shame we all didn't spend more time together... the apartment is incredible and perfectly located... We'll certainly be in touch next time we're back in the city :) highly recommended
Erin was great and her place is in a fantastic location. Her condo is as described; much larger than most places in the city. Erin was only there a few nights and all but invisible unless I needed something. She seems to know everyone in town and she took me and some friends out one night for drinks. Even the Bar manager down stairs treated us to drinks on another night because I was staying with her!
Erin was the most superb host and everything in the apartment was perfect, down to the cleanliness of the apartment which was better than a 6 star hotel.
The apartment itself has an amazing view and you will take many pictures of the Chicago skyline during the stay.
I can strongly recommend your stay here if you need to be in Chicago for any amount of time.
The Condo is in a great location, and the space itself is fabulous! Very jealous that Erin gets to live there full time - it is a huge condo with a really great layout. Erin was super helpful and nice (even though we never met) with instructions and tips about the cool places to go.
Erin's place was great. Perfectly situated, amazing views & a super friendly, welcoming host! She left wine & treats for us and we had all the safe & secure access we needed. If you need a place to stay in Chicago, we highly recommend it whether you need one room or the whole place, it works for both situations. We wish our friends had joined us! You really couldn't ask for a better hist with a bigger heart! As Erin admittedly doesn't cook, the kitchen is a little low on tools, but all the basics are there. And with all the great restaurants in Chicago, we barely ended up cooking anyway!!
We had a great visit to Chicago, and our stay at Erin's condo played a big part in that! She was an excellent hostess, providing an unforgettable welcome party, thoughtful gifts, and very useful and valuable information about how to spend our days and nights.
I am pleased that my efforts resulted in a memorable and exciting weekend in Chicago for the 8 of you. My only dismay was returning home to some property damage and (website hidden) has not responded for my request to collect the nominal damage deposit. I specifically asked that the shades not be drawn in my master bedroom and came home to find them haphazardly drawn which resulted in one dislodging from the ceiling beam. My Tiffany lamp in my bedroom was damaged, as was the paint on the walls in my bedroom, hallway and foyer. There was melted, hardened CLUMPS of chocolate cemented into my bathroom tile floor and subsequently tracked through my carpeting. There was some kind of spillage of sauce in my refrigerator which was not tended to and resulted in drying on the inside of the fridge shelves and all over of everything-- that alone was 45 minutes of scrubbing. There was garbage with containers of uneaten food left on my bedroom floor-- I returned from my trip two and a half days after you left so you can imagine the stench I was greeted with.
While I found it fun to be involved in making your friend Farrah's bridal shower weekend a beautiful experience, and I loved meeting and greeting and singing for you girls, I was personally offended by the lack of consideration for my (expensive) property. My live-in roommate was there some of the time, and I notice, in a comment earlier, you seemed surprised he would be there. It was well-documented ahead of time that I would have other people in the condo the weekend you were there and you not only received gifts of expensive champagne, catered food, complimentary bottles of wine and elegant gifts for the bride to be, but you also received 1/3 off the going rate for an in-demand weekend in Chicago.
I think your efforts for making your friend's bridal shower weekend were very touching, but, honestly, I was surprised at the lack of concern for my property, especially considering the measures I made to make your trip special. In fairness, my towels were all washed and folded when I got home, which was sweet. But the property damage was alarming and is making me re-consider future requests from bachelorette parties.
This condo has breathtaking views of the city and should not be passed up! The location is great!! The cafe on the bottom floor should also be tried as they have great food and drinks and are open until 4AM! Erin is an absolutely lovely host, could not ask for anything more! This will definitely be my "go-to" place to stay in Chicago going forward!
Erin was totally fantastic. Her apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos — and it was a huge plus that she is a neat freak! She washed our towels and cleaned our rooms every day. It was nuts, in a good way.
Also, she is super-knowledgeable about the local food scene. She gave me a list of 5 off-the-radar restaurants to try .... I tried #3 on the list (The Gage) and was blown away.
Super-prime location in downtown — literally a couple of blocks from tons of great restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended.
We rented Erin's apartment for my mother's 60th birthday weekend in Chicago and the beautiful apartment, amenities and Erin's gracious and thoughtful hosting truly made the weekend over the top special.
This is an incredible, high end apartment that easily slept six right in the middle of town - a 5 minute walk to anywhere we wanted to go - and a very good deal for this neighborhood in Chicago. I can't rate Erin and her apartment high enough and truly look forward to returning!
The stay was a five star stay. The apartment was fantastic. The views were amazing. Erin's recommendations were excellent. She performed at the cocktail hour of my conference and put on an incredible show at the apartment with some of the best jazz musicians in Chicago or anywhere.
We had a bit of a security deposit dispute which was resolved professionally and fairly by airbnb.
