This is our 2nd home by the beach when the North East gets too cold. It is beautiful, new and very conveniently located 1 block from the beach in the middle of now very famous South of Fifth Miami Beach. Check our Guidebook for our favorite spots

Interaction with Guests
I am available via email and cell phone anytime you need, but I am usually not in town.
It is located in the famous South of Fifth area of South Beach! Just 1 block away for the beach, Nikki Beach Restaurant, and South Pointe Park.
WARNING: There are important constructions going on on the block, so usage of balconies is not really as much a pleasure. That being said we have all new hurricane and soundproof windows, making the sound of construction absolutely minimal.
We also did just change the balcony door on the bedroom side in September 2014 as this was the last non-sound proof door/window and the noise apparently bothered a bit one of our previous guests, as mentioned in his review. It is now fixed.
South of fifth is a very walkable area.
You have a "Deco bike" station and taxi station exactly 1 block away.
My cell phone will be available if you have any questions.
No parties in the apartment, it is a quiet building.
We had a great stay! The appartement is exactly as shown on the pictures: very modern and well equipped plus there is a parking spot included for the car.
We enjoyed the neighborhood a lot as Ted's place is located in the SoFi neighborhood of South Beach ("South of Fifth St") which is one block away from the beach, quaint and slightly off the busiest parts of SoBe...but close enough when you want to be part of the action!
Ted was super responsive on any questions we had and we were welcomed upon our arrival by Nolvia who had prepared everything and gave us the keys.
Ted was great and gave us everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. Super quick to respond should I have a question. Great apartment and would stay there again.
Clear guidence about the apt. We are familiar with neighborhood. Location met expections. Apt clean and compact. No issues of importance.
This apartment was fantastic and Ted was a wonderful Airbnb host!
The apartment was spacious, spotless, had a comfortable bed, an easy to use, fully equipped kitchen, Netflix, and two balconies. It looked even better than the pictures. Wireless worked great, and the one time it stopped, Ted answered within a few minutes how to reset the router and modem. Overall Ted was extremely easy to communicate with and he always replied promptly and with accurate and detailed information.
The location was also perfect. 2-3 blocks to both the beach and South Pointe Park, which in my opinion, is the most beautiful place to watch the sunset. Tons of restaurants, coffee shops, groceries and gyms within walking distance. This far down in South Beach is a little less busy and a little more refined than slightly further north. There is a lot of construction, but that seems to be the case all over the island and wasn't at all a concern.
Overall, I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway in Miami/South Beach and hope to be back myself next year!
Really nice place to spend a couple of weeks. Ted is very welcoming and personable. Neighborhood is great. Quiet mostly and away from most of the crazy SOBE scene. Things to consider are construction noise, which usually starts around 7:30 or 8am, and club/party noise, which can be a bit noisy during the weekend. We're a block away from Story, which is supposedly one of the hotter clubs on SOBE right now, so it can get a bit noisy sometimes. Furnishings are clean and tasteful. Ample sheets but limited in towels, washcloths, etc. Very toddler friendly, as the owners of the unit have a little one, and the place has a pack and play, beach toys, high chair, etc. Laundry is one washer and dryer that the whole building shares, in a room without a working overhead light, and we ended up doing most of our laundry offsite. But on the whole, a very nice rental. Beach is close, great restaurants and parks nearby. A good spot.
Hi James, Thanks for the very positive review and constructive feedback. I will get more towels and washcloths right away for the next guest in January. Also we just added a new design arch lamp above the dining table, outdoor furniture for the balconies, and blackout blinds (in the bedroom and living room in addition to the good looking wood blinds already installed). I will post updated pictures this week. Thanks again for staying at our apartment.

I am French and have been living in the US since 2007. I share my time between NYC and Miami for business. If you stay in my Miami apartment, you will very quickly notice by what is on the walls that I love traveling, outdoor sports and photography. Professionally, I am small business owner providing very specialized consulting services to Fortune 500 companies globally.
Let me try to answer to the standard questions suggested by Airbnb:
5 things I can't live without:
- 1 steering bar with 2 wheels (mountain bike, moto or any fun kind)
- 1 toy to play with the wind (kitesurf in Miami, but mostly a windsurf when I sometimes have a chance to go back to much stronger wind than in Miami)
- my 35 year old Hasselblad 500C/M film camera
- Wifi & 4G... The geek living in me needs it to read the news and watch youtube constantly. I can only forget it if on an adventure travel far from cities...
- many more toys to keep on trying to have fun like a kid (whether gadgets or sports stuffs)
Favorite destination: Miami, Cape Town, Maui, Bolivia, Rio
Favorite books: pass... I don't read much books anymore... Last readings where on Film Photography, Poker, Business and some occasional Thrillers such as the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo trilogy.
Favorite Music: A lot of Reggae, a bit of Jazz and some electro lounge
Favorite Food: Miso sea bass (if you have never tried, you can find great one in Miami), Ceviche, Sushi.... Just pretending I eat healthy. But mostly a lot of pizza and burgers... But good ones!
Style of travelling: I was all about sports destination for windsurf and mountain bike. Then I went to the tiny budget adventure trips. And now that I am married, and that I am a father, I like the luxury accommodation with good day trips for hiking, scuba diving or any adventure/sports activities.
Style of Airbnb hosting: Since my Miami apt is a place I live in on a regular basis, I wanted it to be as comfortable, easy to use, good looking and clean as possible. But most likely if you stay in my Miami Apt, it is because I am not in town. So I am not a very present host. That being said I am always available on the phone if you have any problem. Also I am fairly selective host and usually give strong priority to guest asking for longer stays and with previous positive reviews. If you profile is empty, I will most likely refuse... Sorry in advance.
Life motto: Adults have forgotten to play. You can learn anything with persistance.
