This home is in a scenic location.
Experience the Blue Ridge Mountains in a 1940’s fishing cabin! Guests adore Parr's Camp-it's rustic outside & restored charm inside. A private pond & the Tye River flow steps away for you to enjoy the ever-changing mountain stream. Our family friendly cabin allows children areas to explore nature & enjoy marshmallows over the campfire. We have enhanced our cleaning procedures & taken care to properly disinfect between reservations.

The space
Unique features include:
Deck over pond in the back (old fashioned pond boats),
Grill/fire pit/fireplace/cook stove (starter wood provided).
Relax on the screened porch w/picnic table, rockers!
While fishing in the pond is not an option (it is more of an aquarium to us), we encourage you to fish in the river in front of the house or anywhere on the Tye River. We also love the Montebello fish pond, just a short jaunt up the road.

Located on the North Fork of the Tye River, Tyro, Va. (Nelson,County). Accessed by main Va. State paved roads, the road in and our driveway is gravel. Watch for water bars.
Closet airports are Lynchburg and Charlottesville (both 55 minute drive).

Owner information:
There are 2-3 steps up to the house
Bring all of your own food as closest large grocery store is 20 min. away
Three small convenience stores are 10 minutes down the road.
Insects are part of our location, please bring bug spray
Check-in 2 PM, Check-out 10 AM
No cell or internet service (8 miles away), landline phone at owner’s house for Emergencies
