The location is perfect - just across from Stage Fort Park -- featuring a kids playground, Dog Park, Half-Moon Beach, Farmers Market, Sunday summer concert series, Gloucester Blue Festival, Gloucester Country Festival, Cyclorama, and the Fisherman Memorial Statue and 3 wedding venues are less than 10 min minute walk...or run from the home.

The space
The home is set up with a multi-generation vacation in mind. With a fire-placed dining room close to the kitchen and open to the living room. A bonus area that can be locked includes an L shaped couch, great for playing games and a queen sized bedroom, office area and full bathroom - excellent as a parental suite! The 4 main bedrooms are upstairs, and each are spacious with big closets, bedside lights and rolling ACs to maintain comfort on the few hot evenings. 6 day min. during summer months, ask about Friday or Saturday check-in.

Guest access
There is a back courtyard with a BBQ, below a rocky area that has a leveled area on top with a fire pit to enjoy toasting marshmallows. Washer and dryer are located on the first floor inside the side entrance. There are two driveways that hold 3-4 cars.

Other things to note
The house is a 5 minute walk through Stage Fort Park, 7 minutes to the Fisherman Memorial on the harbor, and 10 minute walk to the Cape Ann Marina for whale watch, fishing charters and their entertainment resort complex. City transport buses come to Stage Fort Park hourly, bringing you to all the areas beaches, including Good Harbor, Wingersheek and Pavilion beach.

My family is originally from the Boston area, and my husband Bart is from Antwerp, Belgium. We met while both living in Paris, got married and moved into our beach house by Good Harbor. My husband and I love living in Gloucester! We rent the main house during the summer months and the 1 bedroom from September to June. I am on the Gloucester Tourism Commission, and the Cape Ann Chamber Of Commerce Tourism Council, and have been an officer at Gloucester Elks Lodge #892 for 3 years. This area has so much to offer with beaches, history, museums, historic homes, outdoor activities, and beautiful seaside restaurants and wedding venues. We love meeting new people, golfing at our Rockport Golf Club and traveling to golf and to visit friends around the world. Bart works for Akamai, and I left Microsoft after 9 years working in the Education Strategy team in a worldwide role based in Paris. Now I aim to use technology to help my family, friends, neighbors and guests, use technology to stay connected to people, places and experiences they love.
