Interaction with Guests
We invite you to join us any time
We're 4 miles inland in the "banana belt" as it's been dubbed. The fog tends to hang just out of reach of this cozy zone.
We will be able to guide you to some magical places here on the Mendocino coast
Other Things to Note
The kitchen here is omni food, though most of the meals prepared here are vegetarian or vegan, and as much from the garden, local, or Mendocino county as possible! The Stone musing photos in each shanti are for sale ( art by our founder)
All indoor spaces on this farm are requested to be tobacco free
This was my first experience with AirBNB and it was a beautiful week of writing in the Sunlit Shanti. The people were warm and made me feel at home. It is rustic, but the shanti and the bed was warm and comfortable. I appreciated writing at the desk provided and being woke up by the rooster every morning.
If you are a writer, this place is perfect to have the space to create worlds. When you need a break, you can always invite your neighbors over at the other shanti to have wine and treats on your porch.
When I first checked in the wind was howling, but inside the shanti it was surprisingly warm. This was true when we experienced rain showers.
This is my new happy, writing, creating place. I miss it already.
Will be back.
Mahalo to everyone at Pegasus Farm.
We were met by our host as we drove up, and we're given a full tour of the farm. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accomodating. We would love to come back!
What a magical place! To wake up in the morning greeted by wandering chickens, spring lambs, a beautiful garden and the friendly dogs was quite a treat. Steve was a great host. He gave me a quick tour then left me to settle in and watch the stars fill up the night sky. The shanti is warm and the bed is so comfortable! I could have spent all weekend just enjoying the farm, but Little River is ideally located between the redwood forests, ocean, and Mendocino for exploring. Check out the "Attic of Mendocino" antique shop on Main St btw Lansing and Kasten. Each piece has a fascinating and well-researched story posted on it. Worth a stop!
We had a wonderful stay at the Sunlit Shanti, which is a lovely, rustic little cabin. The hosts were very welcoming, kind people and we enjoyed the tour of the farm and a communal dinner. The dogs, sheep and chickens added to the fun. We would definitely come back. Very close to town of Mendocino, beach walks, and hiking.
Our experience at Sunlit Shanti exceeded our expectations. Everyone at the farm was warm and welcoming. The quaint cabin was clean and comfortable. We felt incredibly safe our entire time there, and had the best nights sleep. Our time there was perfect.
Thank you, Steve! We absolutely loved your home. We hope to be back real soon. Take care.
