Victorian Cottage artist's retreat nestled on 56- acre farm in rural Kentucky. Suitable for one to five people. Beautiful architectural detail. Screened-in back porch, new brick patio and grill, front porch with swing. Pond with deck. Peace and quiet, yet close to town and nearby Lexington and the Kentucky Horse Park.
My house has two spare bedrooms and so it suitable for one to four people. It is a wonderful retreat for writers, artists and those seeking peace and quiet. I have spent the last five years restoring my home and surrounding farm. I am creating a wildlife sanctuary and restoring the land to native grasses and flowers. It is luxurious and rustic. It's a farmhouse, and you could see a critter or two.
Birds in the trees, frogs in the pond, maybe even a bug.
Relax, take walks, sleep, sing, paint a painting, write a book, drive to nearby attractions and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings.

CD has poured her heart and soul into her farm, with a vision of offering a retreat for artists to work and renew in a peaceful setting. She is working to revitalize the native grasses, soil health, surrounding trees, and a natural spring pond. I have stayed at CD's farm many times and in every season. The quiet, the privacy on the acres of land, the "come as you are" feel to her home, allows for deep reflection. I highly recommend CD and her farm for a unique experience.
This is a fantastic old farmhouse that will make you want to move right in and never leave. It's beautiful in all seasons. It's glorious in the spring, summer, and fall especially. However, there's a wood burning stove in the kitchen that's awfully cozy and romantic in the winter. It's a thrill to sit around the fire to drink coffee laced with a little amaretto. Natural Bridge State Park is close by and a great place to take a little hike. Cherie (CD) is a friend of mine and this farm is the love of her life, for good reason. Find out for yourself.
