About This Listing
Apartment located in the historical Old city of San Juan. Great balcony view and close to all the great restaurants and shopping streets. Still quiet and comfortable for a good sleep. One queen size bed & 2 full size futons, for up to 4 people.
**** At the moment (due to security and cleaning issues), we are not accepting reservations from guests with children younger than 6yrs old stay at our place. Sorry for the inconvenience***
This apartment has one private bedroom with a queen size bed, one bathroom, a kitchen, a common area with two futons and a small terrace over-viewing 'Plaza Barandilla'. Great for single travelers, couples or a group of 4.
It's located in a central area of Old San Juan and within walking distance of all the cities main attractions, areas of historical significance, colonial buildings, plazas, cafes, restaurants, shopping district, live music venues and events!!! We love to meet our guests and share information about other places to visit within Puerto Rico and around the world!
This is a 3rd floor apartment and there are no elevators... all stairs! So, you get a great stay and a small workout, all-in-one ;) The building and the apartment itself is quite old (it has the original floor tiles, high ceilings, iron and elaborated stairs handrail) but it is kept clean and in great condition. Since Old San Juan is the oldest settlement within Puerto Rico, the building is a nice example of early Spanish colonial architecture. San Francisco street is safe and well lit ; there are always people and local residents strolling the area so, feel free to mingle at any time.
Although breakfast is not provided, coffee, tea and drinking water will be available to our guests. At the moment we don't have cable TV, but do have a TV & DVD available, as well as an iPod doc stereo. No internet, but you can get public WiFi access at most of the nearby plazas and cafes.
The entire apartment for you and your family/friends. Access to kitchen, bedroom and bathroom essentials.
Interaction with Guests
When I started on Airbnb I had much more free time... now I work, maybe just a tad bit much :( I usually just meet with the guests for check in, but if you want to hang out or have a coffee sometime, I'll make it happen. For anything else, I am just a phone call away and you can always email me, or text as well.
Everything in Old San Juan is within walking distance from our place. The tourist trolley stops right in front of our building - hop on for a short ride around Old San Juan and hear some historical information. You can also rent bikes, take a short taxi drive or the public bus to nearby touristy and beach areas - Escambrón, Condado, Isla Verde.

Carla's apartment was beautiful and a great experience. There were plenty of towels and bathroom amenities. The apartment was located in the heart of Old San Juan and was convenient to walk to restaurants and shops. Carla's father was very helpful and gave us some recommendations nearby.
We had a great stay! The apartment is charming and comfortable and is in a very convenient location to all the sights, shops, and restaurants. We hope to come back again soon!
Our stay in Old San Juan was amazing! The location was central to many restaurants and shops. The apartment had everything we needed and we slept comfortably. Our host met us upon our arrival and had the keys ready for our stay. Thank you Carla for hosting us, I plan to return soon.
Old San Juan was exactly what we were looking for when we thought of Puerto Rico. We were driving in from the east side of PR and meeting with Carla's father to get the keys and the details about the home. Let me tell you one thing, Old San Juan is where the cruises arrive and depart, it is CRAZY on those days! We couldnt find street parking and most the lots were full. Anyways we found a lot and dragged our luggage about 8 blocks uphill to Carlas home. Her father met us downstairs and we carried all our things up to the 3rd floor. Her place is so quaint. We were overlooking the Plaza, it was amazing. She had clean linens and towels and hot water. We loved our stay there and in Old San Juan all together. FYI if you are driving, you will find street parking in the evening, we parked around the corner from the place around 9pm there was a spot.
Carlas apartment was amazing as usual. This is our second time staying here and the location is perfect.
Everything was as described. If you are planning a trip to Old San Juan this is an excellent place to stay. It's in a great location to walk to all the attractions and excellent restaurants and the apartment itself is a comfortable place to relax.
Easy arrival, flexible when our flight was delayed, great communication, left us alone once we were there so we could feel like it was our apartment. Plenty of clean towels and sheets. Nice location in the heart of Old San Juan, up on the 3rd floor with a view of the town and a square.
