Where you’ll be

Schwarzenberg, Luzern, Switzerland

A paradise for walkers, with over 100 km of trails, early spring through late autumn! Should there be snow on the ground, as is usual in winter, strap on the snow shoes (not provided by us) to follow these trails. Alternatively, we're less than ten minutes' drive from a beautiful 17 km-long Nordic ski run (classic and skating) with possibilities as well for a well-lit evening run.
If you're a keen biker, bring along your mountain bike to enjoy a vast array of marked bike routes. We've got a covered and enclosed area where you can store your bike.

Schwarzenberg may be a small village, but we're spoilt for choice where restaurants are concerned. As the locals are particular about good fresh food, you can dine extremely well, with trout, beef and venison even produced locally!

I am self-employed, working from home, teaching English to adults.
Having originally let part of the house as a holiday cottage, I've had to down-scale to combine with my work as a teacher, but I still thoroughly enjoy having guests and meeting new people.
In the summer you'll see that I love colour. The house is adorned with geraniums and the garden is, where possible, full of flowers.
I've lived in 11 countries around the world, never necessarily wanting to settle anywhere. However, when I found this spot, I realised I never wanted to move again.
