Welcome to your Dublin home from home!
We'd like to invite you to enjoy as much cozy luxury and peace, as we have always enjoyed, as guests of Airbnb hosts, in our happy travels with Airbnb worldwide.

It is part of a converted Georgian mill complex, and is furnished with our family antiques and treasures, which date from the English Jacobean period onwards, and, after at the end of your Dublin day, a great pleasure awaits you - a soak in our large jacuzzi bath.
When you are staying in our sunny south facing apartment, you will feel like you're in the middle of the countryside, as you will enjoy panoramic views across the River Liffey Weir and the open parkland of Dublin's War Memorial Gardens and the Phoenix Park, whilst still being only one mile from Dublin's buzzing City Centre. It also has high speed WIFI.
Your apartment has a comfortable double room and a snug guest room with a day bed that can pull out to form a king sized bed, large desk, WIFI, safe, alarm, CD radio, TV/DVD, free parking in the park, safe bicycle storage and 4 more air mattresses. Interaction with Guests
Whilst we won't be at home as the whole apartment is rented out, we are always available on the phone or via email to answer any questions.
It's so peaceful and green where we live but so close to the city.
The only real rule is have a great time during your stay, and if you have any problems with your stay please let us know at once.
When leaving our house please be sure to check that the balcony door is locked, the alarm is on and both the locks on the front door are locked. Please make sure you have take note of our alarm code when you check in.
Please don't help yourself to our food cupboard or our other possessions, which will be in the flat as we only rent out our place short term when we're away on holidays. In line with this cupboards won't be empty but we will be sure to make space for your food or clothes storage needs within them.
You are welcome to use our washing machine but please dry your laundry on the racks.
If you are a smoker, you're most welcome into our home but please smoke on the balcony, with the door closed so the smoke cannot enter the apartment and use an ashtray. This balcony has a kind of roof so you can smoke there even when it's raining!
Please respect our check out time of 12 pm unless otherwise arranged.
Our home is full of beautiful family antiques, please take good care of them. They are beautiful and fragile and why we ask for a substantial deposit which we've never had to claim!
Please let us know what your needs are too so that we can all have the best Airbnb experience possible.
Alice and Radek were amazing hosts. We never actually met since the two were already on a holiday when we arrived and we left before they came back! But every single thing was perfectly settled through many messages until we were organised and nothing could go wrong! Our arrival was quite late, which was a bit of a problem, since we couldn't get our keys from any neighbours. But Alice quickly dealt with this and we got to pick up the keys at a near-by pub.
Our first impression of the apartment was great. Really pretty and stylish and the same time cosy and making us feel at home. There were some messages left for us in different places and if there were any complications then or later on (e.g. turning on the shower) we could be sure they had been explained beforehand!
We enjoyed the view from our windows a lot since the area is really nice and especially in the evening when the sun set over the park everything looks beautiful. We liked that we were staying in the city, but could return to such a calm and quiet environment after a busy day. My father was really fond of the CD collection and we always had lovely music playing.
We had a lovely time in Dublin, got around mostly by Tram for the first days. The nearest station is a small walk from the apartment and taking the bus might be a bit more comfortable for anyone who's not up for a lot of walking. When we hired a car a few days later we never had a problem finding a parking space.
To anyone visting Dublin I will recommend Dublin Zoo, which is not necessarily only for children and had us entertained a whole day!
In conclusion the only thing that could have made our visit better is having met our charming hosts, who we are sure would have been a pleasure to chat with. A big thank you again for letting us stay and for being so organised and welcoming!
We hope to see you some day soon (maybe even here in Germany).

Between us we must have traveled 50 countries, and together have traveled from Prague to Istanbul together by train, from Gambia to Mali, all over Ireland and the Czech Republic, and for our recent honeymoon went around Italy with airbnb and enjoyed six wonderful stays with Italian families. So we know both what it is to host and to be a guest on airbnb!
We may also be able to offer you individual pottery or cookery classes with us during your stay, and you're also very welcome to visit Radek's pottery and to learn how pottery is made.
