Wow, what an amazing place. My family and I didn't want to leave once we where there. Catherine is THE most accommodating and generous host. She was very responsive on the message exchanges, offered very quick answers to all my small questions from the very beginning until the very end. She was always kind and generous handing us any help we needed throughout our stay. We were so pampered !!
Her home is beautiful and has a great open feel. As we entered the home, we were welcomed by the fresh smell of woods and high ceiling. It feels much bigger than the pictures and looked even more beautiful. Big kitchen, and gorgeous view from living, kitchen, master and 2nd bedroom. Beds are very comfy ! Happy chicken run around freely.
It is not decorated with massive stuff, but I kinda like that simple approach. Definitely like it better than "stuffy" place. I appreciated that Catherine cleans the place with natural products, so entire place does reflects that. Which means maybe some of the linens are not chemically breached white, white stuff- but I could tell everything was cleaned very well with care, so I actually liked it and felt very good in the home.
Kitchen are not as stocked as the other places I had seen, but Catherine provided us anything we needed in addition to whatever was there.
Great stay. We're hoping to come back !
Had an amazing time this weekend while staying at this lovely and spacious home! Very convenient location to wineries close by as well, which was an important factor for our group. Area was very peaceful.
Catherine was a great host and she made sure we were comfortable. She even went beyond by providing us with a loaf of bread and fresh eggs from her chickens!
Overall - wonderful time!
Great relaxing place to spend a vacation in wine country. On the laid back side of things, but well equipped and plenty spacious. Kitchen's great, nice master bedroom, lots of space and a beautiful property.
Thanks, Catherine for making everything so easy and helping us with the wood stove. Cheers!
We had an amazing time at Catherine's place. Everything was very beautiful and it was the perfect place to relax and escape city life. The home was very nice and everything was clean and well-kept. We had a blast playing with the chickens and we even got to eat fresh blue chicken eggs from an Americano chicken! I plan to go back soon. Catherine was very nice and it was a weekend well-spent.
Catherine's farm is situated in a beautiful part of Northern California and is well worth the visit. She is a kind and generous host, who offered us fresh eggs from chickens on the farm and brought coffee by in the morning. She even cut us fresh herbs from her vegetable garden, which were wonderful! She was in great contact and easy to check in and check out with. We stayed here overnight after a wine-tasting day-trip through Napa. Catherine gave us full use of her kitchen, where we made a great group dinner, and she had cable available to check out the Olympics. The house has a land-line for internet, which was fine. It's sparsely furnished and a bit unfinished as a living space, but the views of the pastures and vegetable gardens from the windows were gorgeous in the morning. We used a charming pot-belly stove to heat the house, and it was comfortable enough for our group of four.
Really neat house that has a lot of potential. The open air setup and huge master bedroom are fantastic. The views of the property are also wonderful. We stayed during a very intense rain storm so we did not get to explore the property, but we were quite comfortable in the house all afternoon and evening. Catherine is very friendly and bonus that she braved the crazy rain to pick us up bread and coffee for breakfast (plus the fresh eggs from her chickens).
Catherine was a fantastic host. Our group of 6 felt like we were visiting with family more than someone we found on AirBNB. Catherine and Bob were incredibly caring and wanted to make sure that everything was well taken care of. She provided some snack foods, wine, and fresh eggs from her chickens in the morning. WARM FRESH eggs. That was a first for all of us city slickers I think. :) We recommend the Sauna and checking out a place called Wildwood's in Graton for brunch-- 2.2 miles from the property. Wood burning stove was a nice touch. Excellent for cycling. Some of the best in the Bay Area.
My two children and I spent several weeks over the christmas holiday at Catherine's beautiful home. Catherine is a wonderful host and person. We felt absolutely welcomed and comfortable during our stay. The setting is absolutely peaceful and country, yet so close to downtown Sebastopol. We loved the homes sparse but tasteful furnishings, and the fact that all cleaning products used were completely natural/ fragrance free. The woodburning stove is the main source of heat and was a joy to get to know and tend. Such wonderful heat! The photos on the site do not do it justice- the interior is so open and spacious with so much light from the many great windows. Wonderful views- especially from the upstairs bedroom of the back fields and distant hillsides. There is a gorgeous heritage Live Oak tree on the property. My children were thrilled with the neighbors horses whose pasture sides the property, and the chickens whom they made good friends with (they all have names) It ended up working out that Catherine helped out with babysitting - and she took great care of the children and cooked them wonderful healthy (website hidden) was hard to leave. I so highly recommend booking a visit to Catherines!
Thank you Tracy for your kind words, It was a pleasure to have you all here, particularly over the holiday season with the kids. It felt like a very happy community. I really enjoy babysitting your children bringing lots of my favorite parts to child care to the foreground. I want to get art classes going with them someday! Great you are all settling close by.
My husband and I decided to take my family to wine country for a little weekend getaway and we found Catherine's beautiful home. They welcomed us with open arms and seriously went above and beyond to accommodate us. We mentioned needing to go to a grocery store in the morning for breakfast and when we woke up we had coffee, 3 types of bread, butter, and the best part...fresh eggs from the chicken coop!! It's such a charming and unique experience staying on the grounds. We saw deer in the front yard, chickens in the rose garden, horses next door, and woke up to the beautiful sound of the roosters! It was a great experience - thank you Catherine!
Aw thank you Shiva and Brian for the kind words. As I mentioned, you were my first guests on my Maiden Voyage renting my house with Airbnb and you were just the best group to have. So understanding and accommodating. The joy you all brought to the property added to the beauty and tranquility of the atmosphere. It was such a pleasure to host you all and I hope you come back again. Thanks so much for your visit.
