Historic home built in 1900 for rent on Indy's near east side during big events in town. Just a ten-minute drive to downtown or twenty minutes from the track, the home sleeps eight (three bedrooms -- one king bed and two queens--and two couches) with two bathrooms. Wifi, cable TV (movie channels), carport, washer and dryer.
Both bathrooms have been recently remodeled, with one on the second floor and one in the basement. The kitchen is remodeled with stainless steel appliances. Most of the rooms look like they came out of Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn.
Please no animals or smoking.
The house is on a busy east-west street, although with new windows, a brick house, and a three-season porch at the front of the house, the noise level is very minimal. A bus stop is down the street.
The Irvington neighborhood is only ten blocks away with a great local pizzeria (Jockamo's), a brewery (Black Acre), and a great neighborhood restaurant (Legends). A local coffee shop (Laze Daze) and local bookstore (Book Mama's) and a Starbucks are there as well.
The home is decorated modernly with bright colors and comfortable furniture from Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Crate and Barrel.
I came into town with 6 other friends for a place to stay during GenCon (Indy convention). Chad was very easy to communicate with, and was accommodating for our early arrival on the first day. A quick tour through the house, a few questions and he was out the door to let us get our long weekend started. He even checked on us a couple days in just to make sure we have everything we needed. Our four day excursion to Indy was a successful one and we would highly recommend Chad's beautifully decorated home. Easy access to the city (straight drive in) and secluded enough from the other homes to feel some privacy, this place is ideal. If Chad will have us, we will definitely be reaching back out to him on future trips.
Went down for GenCon and we had a good time. We mainly used the house for sleeping, however it was very clean and nicely decorated. Chad is very flexible about check-in time and the place was very comfortable. I would recommend Chad's place to anyone else who is going to Indianapolis. I just wished we actually had more time to enjoy the comfort of his home.
Chad was an excellent host and house is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay. He has a very well kept house and its very spacious. The best thing is it has everything you need at home.
Certainly would stay again!
Our trip to Indy was much better than expected. The city was great for the Super Bowl and we had a lot of fun. Chad was more than accomodating and even picked us up from the airport. He has a beautiful home that has been nicely updated. There is plenty of room and the large couches were just as comfortable as the beds. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Chad!
