This marvelous suite is the private main floor section of a handsome 3-story house, centrally located in 1 of the oldest neighbourhoods in Winnipeg. The neighbourhood is full of beautiful old trees, friendly neighbours, and is close to downtown, the airport and polo park shopping Centre.
In just a few steps you will find a convenience store, bakery, organic market and coffee shop all within a half-block radius. If you want to venture a little further, you will discover a grocery store, drug store and liquor store in an 8 minute walk away.
The house is separated into 3 separate, private and fully contained suites. There is a fenced garden patio out front with a deck and fire pit to enjoy in the summer. The main floor suite itself is bright and functional, and decorated with a sense of fun and quirk. It is completely private and you will have everything to yourself. This includes a very large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a love seat, and makeup table in the corner.
Start your morning in the bright and fully stocked kitchen. Then move to the breakfast table with 4 chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. Take a nice hot shower in the 4-piece bathroom just down the hall. Later, prepare to enjoy a cozy evening sipping on some wine in front of the electric heat-a-lator fireplace. The living room has a flat screen TV and comes with Netflix and an assortment of movies in the cupboards. For those active souls, there is also a treadmill and other exercise equipment for you to use.
The front den is a bonus space that can either be used as an office or a second bedroom. It has a small desk and a pullout couch with a double-sized air mattress top, which is very comfortable. This pleasant space can be easily privatized with a curtain door.
If you have your own vehicle, there is 1 free parking space in the back. There is also a major bus-route stop 3 minutes walk from the house, and a smaller bus-route stop just a few houses down.
For the guest who is planning a longer stay, there is a cleaning service available once a week for an additional fee.
The homeowner is always available by phone and is quick to fix any minor concerns you may have about the property. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and is excited to answer any questions and suggest places you might want to see. She has many great recommendations about restaurants and cute little spots in the city to help make your visit amazing.
This apartment had everything I needed; it had all the kitchen gadgets I could've asked for, it was close to all local groceries and the bus stop, and the tenants were very nice. Chantal was so nice and sweet and upbeat. She was extremely helpful and welcoming to me and my boyfriend. She only came back once to pick something up real quick but was in and out super quick and wasn't bothersome at all. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint and beautiful, even in the winter. This stay was extremely positive. I would definitely contact Chantal again if I visit Winnipeg.
