This is a beautiful private Suite with full bathroom, 480 sq ft.+ SUPER CLEAN w/separate entrance. Like a studio apartment w/a small refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. In a very exclusive neighborhood in Pt Loma, close to everything w/Liberty Station on 1 side (5 min walk) & Ocean Beach on the other side of the pennisula (2.5 mi). The Suite is on the back side of our home (connected but separate) with easy/free street parking. Last minute bookings are welcome! Easy Check in -late night too!
The space
This spacious suite is super clean, with a comfortable Queen bed, nice hardwood floors, tile in the bathroom, small working desk, walk-in closet, barn door, ceiling fan & lots of windows. We provide linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The Suite has a private entry (accessed from our backyard) so it's a separate studio suite with a private full bathroom and shower, and walk in closet. We also provide a coffee maker with coffee & tea, a microwave and mini refrigerator. A portable cold AC and tower fan is added to ensure the Suite stays cool whenever it's hot outside.
The space is suitable for 1-2 people (or 3 if traveling with a child). The futon couch folds down to a single bed (mattress with bedding always provided). Please be sure to enter the correct number of guests on your reservation. We require accuracy in the number of guests on your reservation.
We have a nice Smart Amazon firestick TV (streaming apps). You may need your own account to log into some of the apps. There is no cable.
There is one flight of outside stairs to access the suite.
The neighborhood is great for walking with many spectacular views of downtown, the Coronado Bridge and San Diego Bay. Most guests love the location and the easy access to all that San Diego has to offer. We are literally up the hill from Liberty Station with parks, grocery stores movie theater, yoga/pilates, and many amazing restaurants.
You can walk there in 10 minutes :)
As mentioned, we have an immaculately clean suite so if that is important to you, then this is the place for you! (When we stay as a guest in other places, cleanliness is hit or miss and that can make the nicest space feel gross!)
Although there is no full kitchen, there is a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and utensils to have a meal.
Note: We do have a small dog that never have access to the suite, but is on property. Our dog is never outside without supervision. The yard is not part of the rental.
*There is plenty of free street parking available in front of the Suite’s entrance so it’s very convenient!
Our easy self check-in is easy and saves so much time and less contact with people as compared to hotels. Our entrance and walkway is well lit every night for late arrivals.
Guest access
We provide an easy self check-in process with an access code that will be provided on your arrival day., or the day before. There is street parking only, and there are plenty of available spots.
** No yard access.
Other things to note
1) We are close to the airport so there is airplane noise. The planes at San Diego Airport stop for the night from 11:30pm-6:30am (on occasion they break this rule). We have TRIPLE paned windows that really help with airplane noise when closed.
2) Although we have AC with 1 vent in the room, it is controlled by the main house. We add a portable AC unit during the summer months to ensure it stays cool in the Suite on hot days. We have a ceiling fan and an additional fan always provided. The room is typically nice & cool, and we try to make sure of that!
3) In the winter, the nights are cool and rarely cold. We do provide a nice space heater to ensure the suite is warm and comfortable.
