Our apartment's best feature is its location. It's two blocks from Dolores Park, the best place on earth on a sunny Saturday, and it's at the intersection of yuppy Noe Valley, hipster/Latino Mission District, and gay Castro. It's very safe, too, because it's a bit up a hill. Lastly, it's right by a J-line Muni stop and 10 minutes from the BART.
The apartment itself is nice, nothing too amazing. The living room and kitchen are fairly standard San Francisco size, but the molding, high ceilings, and windows give it a really pleasant feel. You get the whole place to yourself, so you can make yourself at home during your stay.
Utility-wise, we've got central heat, Internet, 42" HDTV hooked up to an Apple Mini (sorry, no cable), laundry downstairs, and probably a dozen Economists laying around at any one time.
You'd stay in a relatively small but A-OK room with an Ikea futon, which is actually quite comfortable; we've had people stay there for months and sleep better than they do in their own home. The futon is the size of a standard double bed, so two people can share it comfortably. Please note that there is only the one bed, so if you are interested in space for two people then you two should be willing to share the bed.
We live in a place with bizarrely plentiful street parking. Be sure to read the signs to avoid tickets, though! We can give you some tips on where parking near us is easiest. If you'd rather not deal with the risk and hassle of street parking, there is a garage about 6 blocks away that costs $22/day.
Feel free to use the TV-computer setup. We don't have cable so I wouldn't recommend trying to use the TV in a normal fashion (you'll struggle to get back to computer-mode).
Also, we've closed off our main (tiny) bedroom, please don't go in there.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We apologize for canceling on Nicole! We had planned to travel that
weekend, but my wife threw her back out and she needed to stay at home and
rest - so we had no option. We helped Nicole find alternative
accommodations, and even compensated her a bit for the trouble. We're
planning on never having to cancel again, of course!
My boyfriend and I spent Labor Day weekend in SF at their place. Its location is so convenient--walking distance to Dolores Park, Philz Coffee, and many other cool spaces in Mission! The muni stop is just across the street and the bart is just a few blocks away. Their apartment was spacious and cozy. We loved unwinding on their porch. They also left very thorough instructions :) We would definitely stay here again!
My girlfriend and I stayed at Greg and Amy ' house for two nights. We had a great stay, wonderful apartment in a great area. If we go back to S Francisco we would definitely choose their apartment again. Highly recommended!
Thank you again for your kindness guys!
We had an early morning flight and Amy and Greg were very accommodating. They let us drop off our bags way before the check in time so we didn't have to lug them around. The location is awesome. Great restaurants and coffee are walking distance. We hardly spent any time at the apartment because there is so much to do around the area. There is a liquor mart close by to purchase water and snacks.
We enjoyed staying at Greg and Amy's place for our week in San Francisco. We arrived with everything as described in the helpful welcome document Amy sent well in advance. Like everyone else said, the location was great -- short walk to great neighborhood spots and a Muni stop right outside for longer trips. The place was clean and comfortable, and Greg and Amy were prompt and accurate in communication.
Greg and Amy's apartment was the perfect place to stay in San Fran. They were on the ball with communicating, and had plenty of good places to check out in the neighbourhood, as well as helpful tips. I would definitely recommend staying at Greg and Amy's while in San Fran. Thanks guys!
My boyfriend and I were so happy to be able to stay at Greg and Amy's for a week. They were super prepared for us and sent us a document ahead of time detailing all that we need to know about their place, their neighbors and the neighborhood. Their apartment was cozy and stylish, and definitely in an unbelievably convenient location. Many thanks to the both of them for making our stay in SF so comfortable!
