Great little place in a quieter part of San Marco. Excellent little cozy room at a great price.

Would not recommend staying here. We spent 45 minutes waiting in a dark alley. She gave us an address and said she would "meet us there" at an agreed on time, but she showed up 45 minutes late. We tried to call her during that 45 minutes but no answer. The place it's self was in decent shape but there was absolutely NO toilet paper when we got there. My wife had to bring me some baby wipes that she was able to find on the other side of the bathroom. What a terrible experience.

This place is very dark, and the canal smells bad like sewage, the neighbors are very loud late into the early morning hours. So bad we overslept until checkout time. The windows have no screens and the mosquitoes are voracious. I have over 30 bites on my arms alone. We could not find it and wifi is not working in most places unless you stand on a bridge. She was either sliw to tespond or no response at all. Finally her partner who is a gem of man rescued us. He is so nice you can't stay mad. He apologized for not meeting us at the boat. He was also kind enough to sllow us a little extra check out time since the neighbors partying untill 5 am caused us to oversleep. There was only a partial roll of toilet paper when we arrived. We ran out of toilet paper the first night and after sending several unanswered texts went to the store and bought our own. I did not like this apt. for many reasons. It made our visit very upsetting. She never responded to texts once we arived from the airport. Not a good experience at all. Katia, please provide simple things for the guests like real bath towels, sheets and toilet paper. Screens or netting on the windows would at least help with all the mosquitos.

The apartment was cozy. Perfect for a couple. Right on a canal, which was really nice. She was right across the alley and was very helpful and courteous. 10/10 would stay again

Katia' s place was very convenient. Just a 10 minute walk to St. Mark's or the Rialto Bridge. Bed was fine. Everything was reasonably clean. WiFi worked. Only two complaints: towels were tiny and the key to get into the building was tricky to use. No big deal. Overall, not a wonderful place, but great location and a good value.

Host was extremely kind and communicative. Key issue with entry upon arrival created some stress but will hopefully be remedied by host as soon as possible. Lacked linens for sofa bed and towels were hard/rough and small. Can hear neighbors through walls and ceiling easily.

I am an artist and a writer. Venice is my home and an infinite source for inspiration. I am also a cheerful mother of 4 daughters and a happy owner of a dog Spritz (named after a popular Venetian cocktail) and a cat Menelao (named after a Greek king described by Homer). The place I rent is a cozy studio( and also my atelier), overlooking a nice quiet canal. We live just next door - so will be quick and happy to help our guests.
