Woods Hole is an isolated Bed & Breakfast, Hostel and unique Mountain Retreat, located on 100 acres of land, surrounded on three sides by the Jefferson National Forest and protected by 780 acres of privately owned land in the foreground. By request, we also offer free Yoga in the afternoon, Massage Therapy for individuals or Couples, and Communal Meals that are locally resourced... often from our own garden. This space is perfect if you are looking for an isolated retreat in a communal setting.

The space
The Loft is located in an 1880’s chestnut log cabin. The Loft is for guests looking for a unique retreat. It is a semi private room above the living and dining areas. At 9pm we close the log cabin off for your privacy. Before 9pm, guests gather in the living and dining rooms to visit or share in a meal together in the colder months. Guests looking for ultimate privacy may prefer one of our others rooms. Guests looking to be social and experience a unique place to sleep will find this room to be a treasure found deep in the woods.

Guest access
Guests have access to a communal living room, helping prepare communal meals (sorry we don't have access to the kitchen for personal use), walking around the property to see the pet pigs, visit with the pet duck, and more.

Other things to note
We are located 1/2 mile from the Appalachian Trail for hiking and easy access to mountain biking trails. We are also on the new MADBR Trail for dirt bikes. Common things to do here include hiking, country drives, relaxing, and exploring.

My name is Neville. I like living in the woods, living in community, being an artist, gardening, splitting firewood, making pottery, meditation, and all things good. I grew up coming to this oasis in the woods when I was 3 with my grandparents and sister. I moved here for many reasons - one being the spring fed water. My grandmother operated this oasis as a hostel for Appalachian Trail Hostel for 22 years. I moved here in 2009 to continue her legend forward. I hope that you find this oasis in the woods as special as I do.
