A converted drying loft in a historic building, this 85 square meter penthouse on the 5th floor overlooks the harbor with a direct view to the Opera house on the other side of the water. The Queen's castle, Amalienborg, is the next door neighbor. Extremely quiet in spite of the super central location.
Amenities include own balcony, broadband Wi-Fi, Mac computer hooked up to a 46" Sony Bravia flat-screen TV and stereo, double bed, open kitchen and bathroom with shower. Mint condition!
The area is filled with quality restaurants, cafés, bars, night clubs, stores, auction houses, art galleries and much more. The Royal Danish Theatre and the atmospheric Nyhavn with its sailing boats and old houses are literally just five minutes away.
If you stroll North, Copenhagen's historic Citadel (Kastellet) is a ten minute walk along the waterfront. An old fortress, it is the oldest functioning barracks in the world and a green and beautiful place for a walk. The Little Mermaid is also within walking distance if you feel like hanging out with Japanese tourists :-)
You'll have the apartment all to yourself.
As a bonus, there is an amazing rooftop "terrace" immediately above the apartment overlooking the city and harbor. Please note: if you suffer from vertigo, the rooftop is probably not for you :-) It has no railings, but the view is absolutely stunning!
Interaction with Guests
I'll welcome you in the apartment when you arrive, give you the keys, and help you get settled in. When you're comfortable and all your questions have been answered, I'll take my leave and usually not be back until after you've checked out. Of course, you can always reach me on my cellphone, email, or message me on Airbnb if you need anything at all.
Kongens Nytorv Metro station is just a 10 minute walk away, and there are bus lines nearby to take you anywhere you want to go.
Hop on one of the yellow harbor busses to get to the Opera house across the water, or simply to enjoy cruising on the harbor.
There is no smoking indoors, but you are welcome to step out on the balcony and draw a breath of "fresh air" there if you need to :-)
Feel free to use my Mac computer to surf the web, listen to music from iTunes or watch films. It is hooked up to the flat-screen TV and stereo.
Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and hand iron are complementary.
Stefan is a great host. He was very clear with his instructions - where and when to meet, etc. He met me when I arrived, even helped carry my (heavy) bag up the five flights of stairs to the sixth-floor "penthouse" -- I'd call it an attic apartment.
It is a big, well equipped, one-room apartment with spectacular views -- even a (small) sunny deck. Great location!
Stefans apartment is wonderful! Its really spacious, with great views! Stefan is also a very helpful host.
Wonderful apartment neighbouring the Royal Palace. Light and airy, with wonderful views, all the mod cons and very clean and tidy. Stefan met me on my arrival and gave me a thorough tour of the apartment and answered all of my queries. He was easy to contact with questions during my stay and was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
Stefan was a very helpful host and everything was arranged with a minimum of fuss. The apartment is light, spacious, quiet and comfortable, with everything you need, it's also in a very good area and you have the easy option to cross the road and walk along the harbour on the other side, very nice in the mornings. I would definitely recommend staying here - lovely :-)
Stefan was a perfect host- providing great information before I arrived to explain the route, the neighborhood and the apartment so I was well prepared. The apartment itself is all that was promised, light and airy with wonderful views of the harbor and the palace- the steps were my daily exercise which I needed after consuming so much good food at neighborhood restaurants and Cafe's. This was a great introduction to Copenhagen and I highly recommend the location anyone traveling to this fine city.
This was my first airbnb experience and I couldn't have been more pleased. The place was better than described. If I go back to Copenhagen I am definitely staying here!
