The Pecan Room, is on the Southeast corner of the house. It features incredible morning light, and a very comfortable firm queen bed. The room opens up to the large upstairs back porch and hammock, making it one of the most relaxing room in the house. It also has a fullsize closet, a small desk, and a direct door to the upstairs bathroom.
Cool Air Conditioning & Fast Wifi
This house is perfect for people who enjoy relaxing in the hammock, listening to birds, feeling the sea breeze, and reading a good book :) If you would prefer blaring TVs, and convenience to the airport, this is not the place you will enjoy. I'm very easy-going and happy to share many fun activities:
**Bicycling -- I have a Tandem you can use!
**Kayaks & Canoeing -- Right here from the house, with a boat launch 2 houses away!
**I'm a Boat Captain -- For a small fee, I offer sunset sailboat rides and Remote Island exploring!
**Beautiful Running Trail -- Completely safe, high-end neighborhood.
The house has two guest rooms, sharing 1 very nice upstairs bathroom. You're more than welcomed to use the kitchen. I love having great conversation while making dinner or breakfast with new friends from around the world. There are many fun activities, and great eats in Savannah, and close to Mi Casa! I love being a host and sharing tips and ideas with my guests! I love to keep this house full of laughter and good vibes, this house is very peaceful and magical. I'm a traveler myself, and I love the opportunity to show this amazing city to other travelers enjoying the journey of life.
Interesting Facts of this House:
This is a beautiful tree house built in 1932, making it one of the oldest houses on Whitemarsh Island. This house has been recently remodeled to show off its original all-wood charm and keep you feeling like you are high up in the island forest.
**Next door to an Native American Mound
**Also next door to a civil war battery (there's a mote besides the driveway remaining)
You really need a car or motorcycle to stay here.

(kids are cute and I like them, but this is not a good place for the little ones. I do have full houses for almost the same price.)
No smoking. it's 2014. Be kind to your body. :)
No pets. ( I love dogs, but I keep the house really clean for people who have allergies).
Be respectful of the age of the house and the tranquillity here.
Thanks for reading. you probably already knew all of this. and therefore is it intended for someone else. Please enjoy your day, you are a good person. :)
The pictures didn't do the room justice! The space was absolutely beautiful. We stayed for St. Patrick's day and couldn't beat the location. We were close enough to the action but far enough to not be involved in all the chaos. Jonathan was warm and welcoming! I will definitely come back!
We had a great time, and the place was perfect for us! The house is in a peaceful, idyllic neighborhood surrounded by trees draped in Spanish moss, and it's a short, relaxed, low traffic drive to either downtown or the beach. Everything is exactly as described, and Jonathan was a great help! He gave us plenty of ideas for things to do, told crazy stories over breakfast, and pretty much just let us be. The room we stayed in has a direct door to the back porch and thus, the outside, which was lovely. We came and went and enjoyed the hammock and the early spring weather. I would definitely come back and stay again, as well as recommend the place to anyone who has perked their ears up upon reading the description. Everything is exactly as described - an ideal setting for a relaxing Savannah visit!
Jonathan is a very welcoming host. He helped us with recommendations and great tips about the area. The location is amazing. We made use of a tandem bike he owns and could have used his kayak too. That was so generous! Breakfast was great. I loved the balcony and the hammock.
On the negative side, the room is small and the windows don't open to let fresh air in. This isn't an issue much of the time but when we were there the nights were cool.
The shared bath was not easy.
Felt very welcome & at home. Jonathan was great host & his home was super nice- clean & comfortable.
Jonathan greeted us as we pulled up and helped with our luggage into the house. The home is incredibly charming with exposed beams, original woodwork and a wrap around porch on the second off the bedrooms.
Jonathan was a great host and his house was awesome! Very clean room with everything you need. Jonathan was a really cool guy, he told me some good places to eat downtown and where to go if I wanted to drink. He also left out breakfast and coffee in the morning. Every review is very accurate to what I experienced, which was a great time in Savannah!
