The Pecan Room, is on the Southeast corner of the house. It features incredible morning light, and a very comfortable firm queen bed. The room opens up to the large upstairs back porch and hammock, making it one of the most relaxing room in the house. It also has a fullsize closet, a small desk, and a direct door to the upstairs bathroom.
Cool Air Conditioning & Fast Wifi
This house is perfect for people who enjoy relaxing in the hammock, listening to birds, feeling the sea breeze, and reading a good book :) If you would prefer blaring TVs, and convenience to the airport, this is not the place you will enjoy. I'm very easy-going and happy to share many fun activities:
**Bicycling -- I have a Tandem you can use!
**Kayaks & Canoeing -- Right here from the house, with a boat launch 2 houses away!
**I'm a Boat Captain -- For a small fee, I offer sunset sailboat rides and Remote Island exploring!
**Beautiful Running Trail -- Completely safe, high-end neighborhood.
The house has two guest rooms, sharing 1 very nice upstairs bathroom. You're more than welcomed to use the kitchen. I love having great conversation while making dinner or breakfast with new friends from around the world. There are many fun activities, and great eats in Savannah, and close to Mi Casa! I love being a host and sharing tips and ideas with my guests! I love to keep this house full of laughter and good vibes, this house is very peaceful and magical. I'm a traveler myself, and I love the opportunity to show this amazing city to other travelers enjoying the journey of life.
Interesting Facts of this House:
This is a beautiful tree house built in 1932, making it one of the oldest houses on Whitemarsh Island. This house has been recently remodeled to show off its original all-wood charm and keep you feeling like you are high up in the island forest.
**Next door to an Native American Mound
**Also next door to a civil war battery (there's a mote besides the driveway remaining)

No smoking. it's 2014. Be kind to your body. :)
No pets. ( I love dogs, but I keep the house really clean for people who have allergies).
Be respectful of the age of the house and the tranquillity here.

My good friend and I decided to make a trip to Savannah to celebrate my birthday. We often travel with no plans and allow life to unfold. Jonathan was the perfect host for us as he is a go with the flow type of person himself. His home is beautiful and he makes staying there easy and comfortable. It was nice to have a beautiful spot to relax when we needed, but also only a short drive to downtown Savannah and to Tybee Island! The best of both worlds :). We stayed in the Pecan room and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed opening up the door and stepping onto the porch with a hammock! It was great to have a quiet place to retired once the fun was over in Savannah. I definitely recommend staying here and will likely stay here again whenever I make it back to Savannah :).
Jonathan was very welcoming and open. The place is beautiful and the description and pictures published are accurate. The neighborhood where the house is was perfect for us: away from the more busy city but still just a 10 minute drive.
The Pecan room was just what we needed. It was a nice clean place and comfy bed to crash at for the weekend. We had everything we needed including towels left out for us to use for our stay. The shared bathroom with other guests wasn't a problem at all. Great location between tybee and dwntwn. The mosquitoes are vicious though..but other than that everything was great. Didn't see Jonathan but once because our schedules conflicted...(we were pretty much at the beach or dwntwn from early morning til late at night.) Thanks Jonathan!! :))
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway to Savannah. Thanks to Jonathan for his hospitality!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Savannah! Jonathan's house was perfect for us and our needs. The house was located in a peaceful and tree filled neighborhood and I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the hammock. It was an easy 10-15 minutes into downtown, but a car is necessary.
The bed and bathroom were clean and the natural light was wonderful for us, but maybe not for people that like to sleep in! We enjoyed the lack of TV because it allowed us to really get away from our normal life.
We also loved being able to take the kayak out for a morning. Also, it was very kind of Jonathan to leave out breakfast items for us in the morning.
This place is ideal for young couples or anyone that doesn't need upscale amenities to be satisfied. Also good for anyone that is self-sufficient and looking for a unique experience beyond your cookie cutter hotel.
Jonathon was a warm, welcoming, and generous host, with more than a few great stories to share. Pecan room was light and airy, as pictured, with a great deck outside. We used the double kayak Jonathon has at the property to paddle through the local waterways. We enjoyed our stay in Savannah!
This was my 1st time using AirBnB. I really enjoyed The Pecan Room in the Nature Lovers house. The room had a direct access to the amazing scenic porch. I sat outside and enjoyed a cup of coffee while soaking up the Georgia sun, which was extremely relaxing.
Jonathan was very warm and welcoming. I was in town to visit family and it was the perfect location. I'll definitely be staying here the next time I'm in town.
