  • loved the apartment. location was fantastic and the climb up the 5 levels of stairs was the ultimate experience in living in a "real" old apartment building, the marble steps were worn smooth and curved from hundreds of yrs of use! the whole apartment was very clean and cute. the only down side were the beds which were a bit old and soft but ok.

  • The apartment was small, as are most apartments in Barceloneta, but had everything I needed. It was nice and extremely well located. It is located on a pedestrian street, so is "quiet" at least for Barceloneta. There is a great little market at the end of the street and it is a 5 minute walk to the beach. The only word of warning is for those who are not willing to walk up 5 flights of stairs, which did not bother me at all. Drasko was a wonderful host. I would gladly stay there again.

  • This was a great spot for our stay in Barcelona. The stairs up to the fifth floor are not easy but it's worth it for the nice balcony overlooking the neighborhood. My girlfriend and I only had backpacks so the narrow staricase wasn't much of an issue, but I could imagine trying to get luggage up to this apartment would not be fun.

While the stairs are difficult, the apartment was very nice. Everything was as described and the location was perfect for our stay, a short walk to most of the sights and an even shorter walk to the metro if you want to get to anywhere else around Barcelona, including the railway station.

Lived in the apartment week from (phone number hidden). Everything is remarkable, convenient, comfortable. The apartment is equipped, everything that is necessary for temporary residence at existence. To a beach of 5 minutes on foot, nearby set of small restaurants, supermarkets, market. The only minus (especially for elderly people) the apartment is on the 6th floor (though in advertizing there is the 4th floor) both very cool and narrow ladder. But for sportswear maintenance - just right. Thanks to the Airbnb team. Everything is accurate, honest, responsible. Let's be and to use their services further.

  • We had absolutely wonderful time staying at the apartment. The place is cute, clean, location is an absolute winner. Large supermarket just outside the building, corner shops open late scattered around the area, tapas bars and is close to the beach. My girlfriend and I really didn't mind using the stairs. It adds up to the experience of staying in a historic, couple hundred years old town house. Many thanks! x

  • Perfect spot! The market on the corner is very useful. Next to "La Bombeta" where we had delicious molds. Nice neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay.

And yes, theses steps are something.
    Thanks Drasko.

  • Very dear people, nice hosts, flat is tidy and well equiped.
Beutiful area, warmly equiped, with nice touch of style. One small drawback : narrow staircase without lift.

  • Hi,
The apartment is really well kitted out, and is in a brilliant location (a ten minute walk to la Rambla), close to a metro station and right beside a market and at least 3 bakeries (so important for your fresh bread in the mornings). Drasko couldn't have been nicer. The only issue I had was with the bed - one of the lats underneath kept coming out, so we basically put the frame against the wall and the mattress on the floor. It was a lot more comfortable then, plus we were no longer afraid of it coming apart on us. The other thing is the stairs. The apartment is on the 5th floor, so you have to climb 82 steps (I counted!! :-)). The stairway is narrowish and the steps are a bit steep. But after doing it a few times a day, you do get fitter and more used to it by the end of your stay!
I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend this apartment.

  • Me and my brother went to Barcelona for the first time and we had a great email conversation with our host from the beginning and they helped us with how to find them and how to travel to the apartment the easiest way.
When we got there the place was just perfect! Drasko met us and he talked very nice swedish and was very easy going. Everything in the apartment is fresh and looks like the pictures. Very nice location with good restaurants and stores. 10 min walk to the beach =)
I can recommend everyone to stay here, but if you got problems with walking in stairs you might pick another place since it is on the 5th floor.
We loved our stay and will rent here again!

Xenia: I am originally from Moscow and I moved to Barcelona 4 years ago. I love this city because it's a perfect combination of history, culture and seaside, mountains and beaches, because of its climate (300 sunny days in a year) and because of it's size - it not too small neither too big. I practice Yoga, play beach volley and study german language. I wish all my guests enjoy Barcelona the same way I do, and I since I know Barcelona very well, I can give you good tips on where to eat, go for a shopping, go at night, which sightseeing to visit, and whatever you wish to know about this beautiful city. I speak spanish, english, russian and german. Drasco: I am originally from Serbia, have been living in Barcelona since 2001. I like to play basketball, interested in new technologies and in foreign languages. I know every single street of the Old Town of Barcelona and a vast majority of the other Barcelona neighbourhoods. I like people and I can answer to almost any question regarding your stay in Barcelona. I speak english, swedish, russian, catalan, spanish and serbian. We prefer to travel on our own, to stay at private houses or rooms all over the world because we believe that way we can learn more about a new country, its people, traditions, etc. Our life motto: if you dare to win, you can't lose! :-) You're welcome to stay with us in Barcelona! :-)
