The place was perfect, no complaints beautiful place with a great dock and beach acess, beautiful little apt with everything you need to have a fun weekend.
Jason greeted us upon arrival. After showing us our space, he provided us with a list of local restaurants and nightlife. Being only 10 minutes away from downtown, allowed us to visit fun places to listen to music and eat great food and stay in a private spot. The taxis and bus were inexpensive ways to enjoy the nightlife in town and at the Port without worrying about driving. We loved being steps away from the pier and the Banana River and being able to walk a minute or two to the ocean. We enjoyed kayaking through the Mangroves in the Thousand Islands. The space was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware to prepare a small meal.
Our favorite restaurant was Grills on the Port, all naturally grilled fish with Tikki bar and live music. 1 block away, we enjoyed a great evening dinner on the pier at the Lobster Shanty. Their supper club atmosphere and friendly waitstaff surpassed their excellent menu.
For a sure bet on seeing manatee and dolphin in their natural habitat, be sure to take the Wild Side Tour boat. The crew was a lot of fun and identified many of birds, fish, and plants. We were able to spot many dolphin and a couple of manatee during our tour on the Banana River.
This was our first airbnb experience and what a wonderful one it was. We will definitely be back to stay.
To be able to put in words our experience with the hospitality provided by Jason & Dana is essentially impossible.
Everything you need is provided upon request, the location is beautiful, the sunsets would have to be seen in person to be believed and the experience is just flat out perfect.
Like earlier reviewers have pointed out, the real shame is letting other people know about this beautifully prized well kept secret of a location.
About the Host, Jason & Dana
I grew up in Cocoa Beach so being surrounded by water it was only natural to become an avid surfer and fisherman. Traveling to Surf has taken me all over the world. Some of my favorite trips include Central America, the Caribbean, Thailand and Indonesia.
