We were beyond satisfied with our accommodations! Our room was right in the water, and paces away from a long deck where you could hang out and watch the sunset or the stars. We spent our days kayaking and at the beach which is just across the street. Cocoa beach is such a nice quiet spot with so many outdoor activities. We also enjoyed having a kitchen, where we could make little picnics. Jason was great about providing any extras like ice packs for our lunches, surfing equipment, and information about the wildlife and the area. I hope to return!
Staying at Jason and Dana's place was the best travel decision we have made in a long time! They were extremely welcoming and laid back. The place was super cool and clean! I would recommend this place to anyone!
The moment we arrived at the property I was smiling. And at peace. The photos don't even give it justice. Then to top it off, Jason is a really good person. That combo in an Airbnb makes for a very pleasant experience. I couldn't have been happier. Myself and my 3 girlfriends wished we'd had time to stay longer. So if I ever find myself again in Cocoa Beach would for sure go back and stay here.
Jason and Dana were wonderful hosts. They were quick to respond to any questions and quick to fulfill a few requests we had during our stay. The photos and descriptions were accurate. The place was clean and the design touches were very tastefully curated. The neighborhood was just far enough south to be away from the "touristy" part of Cocoa Beach, which was nice because our visits to the beach (just across the street) were uncrowded and quite tranquil. The dock was amazing and we had full access to their toys (Paddle Board, Surf Board, Kayaks, Fishing Poles, etc.). We spent evenings watching manatees and dolphins underneath the setting sun. It was a perfect little beach getaway. If you're a foodie, hit up The Fat Snook and Crush Eleven. This listing is highly recommended and we plan on coming back soon!
Jason and Dana's place is great! Jason greeted me for check-in and proceeded to show me to a beautiful and spotless one bedroom apartment. The pictures definitely don't do the place justice. The entire apartment is decked out in cool surf art, retro boards, and nice subtle "beachy" touches. Looking out on the lush green lawn, dock, and Banana river, my girlfriend and I really felt like we had been transported to an island retreat. Unfortunately, we only had one night to stay, so we didn't get a chance to explore the river via the kayaks or paddleboard. I did manage to catch some fun waves across the street during a sunrise surf session. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time surfing the many surf breaks within a few miles of the house. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and many more within a 10 minute drive. From a hot dog stand to true gourmet, there is something for every taste.
Overall, it was the perfect place to stay in a great location for two surfers to take a mini vacation.
We came to the BnB about 6 in the evening and walked back into the tropical and well manicured back yard and private dock. Great atmosphere for relaxing. The dock was absolutely beautiful, jetting out about 200 feet and ending with a 10x10' cabana. Which was equipped with fishing polesThe sliding glass door was open and we were excited to see the place was just as it appears in the description online and even better in person. We were casually welcomed by Jason and he was very nice and offered any help with any amenities and restaurant picks, as we were not familiar with the area. We had a great short convo and will be back again soon!! Thanks so much!! Ryan & Eliza
The view of this place was beautiful. Being able to sit out at the end of the dock and eat was very relaxing and enjoyable just to watch the waves roll in. Although the weather wasn't great, we were able to make the best of it by going to the beach that was literally right across the street. The hosts had everything we needed to make our experience great. Oh and definitely recommend the Florida fresh grill! We went there two nights in a row!
Only downfall was the noise from upstairs was constantly being heard below. Being woken up at 6:45 when you are on vacation, is not ideal.
About the Host, Jason & Dana
I grew up in Cocoa Beach so being surrounded by water it was only natural to become an avid surfer and fisherman. Traveling to Surf has taken me all over the world. Some of my favorite trips include Central America, the Caribbean, Thailand and Indonesia.
