Jason and Dana's place is great! Jason greeted me for check-in and proceeded to show me to a beautiful and spotless one bedroom apartment. The pictures definitely don't do the place justice. The entire apartment is decked out in cool surf art, retro boards, and nice subtle "beachy" touches. Looking out on the lush green lawn, dock, and Banana river, my girlfriend and I really felt like we had been transported to an island retreat. Unfortunately, we only had one night to stay, so we didn't get a chance to explore the river via the kayaks or paddleboard. I did manage to catch some fun waves across the street during a sunrise surf session. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time surfing the many surf breaks within a few miles of the house. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and many more within a 10 minute drive. From a hot dog stand to true gourmet, there is something for every taste.
Overall, it was the perfect place to stay in a great location for two surfers to take a mini vacation.
We came to the BnB about 6 in the evening and walked back into the tropical and well manicured back yard and private dock. Great atmosphere for relaxing. The dock was absolutely beautiful, jetting out about 200 feet and ending with a 10x10' cabana. Which was equipped with fishing polesThe sliding glass door was open and we were excited to see the place was just as it appears in the description online and even better in person. We were casually welcomed by Jason and he was very nice and offered any help with any amenities and restaurant picks, as we were not familiar with the area. We had a great short convo and will be back again soon!! Thanks so much!! Ryan & Eliza
The view of this place was beautiful. Being able to sit out at the end of the dock and eat was very relaxing and enjoyable just to watch the waves roll in. Although the weather wasn't great, we were able to make the best of it by going to the beach that was literally right across the street. The hosts had everything we needed to make our experience great. Oh and definitely recommend the Florida fresh grill! We went there two nights in a row!
Only downfall was the noise from upstairs was constantly being heard below. Being woken up at 6:45 when you are on vacation, is not ideal.
What an amazing property! If you are staying in Cocoa Beach, this apartment is a real gem. My husband and I were greeted by Jason upon our arrival. He is such a great host. He showed us around the apartment, answered my husbands questions about the kayaks that they were willing to let us borrow, and even told us some tips about the area. The pictures provided here of the apartment are spot on. It has such a cool, beach, surfer feel that it makes you want to go out and catch some waves. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating with us during our stay, so no surfing or kayaking for us. Mostly rain. We did take full advantage of the sunshine filled moments by using the chairs at the end of their pier. We caught a couple sunsets there to. Absolutely beautiful! The amenities in the apartment provided were more than enough. There was coffee, creamer, lots of odds and ends for cooking and plenty of pots, pans and dishes to use if you planed on having a meal in. The bed was comfortable, the linens were soft, pillows were comfortable. All in all it was a great stay. Now with all of these wonderful things, there is something important you may want to consider. The apartment needs more insulation between the upper floor and main floor rental. If you like to sleep in, this is not the place for you. Unfortunately, you can hear lots of pitter patter of feet in the morning. For me it was no big deal because I wake up around 7a.m. But for my husband, it was like his 7:30a.m alarm clock, that he wasn't planning on having, of little running feet. If this is not an issue for you, then you must absolutely stay here. I can not imagine a better deal for the price, view, and use of all their beach going items.
Jason and Dana's house was absolutely beautiful! We had an amazing stay. The place was even better than the pictures. We experienced a beautiful sunset and saw Dolphins on the river. We will definitely be staying again!
We loved this place, if i had a house in the area i would dream it to be like that ! The sunset on the private jetty is incredibly beautiful.
The house was super clean, bed confortable, everything was perfect !
Jason was super cool with us and i hope to meet him again.
We were very sad to leave...
Jason was very accommodating to us as we were a late arrival. He met us a night to let us in the unit. My son and I only stayed for two nights, but we took advantage of as much as we could. We visited the Brevard Zoo, ate our breakfasts on the private pier and rode the beach bikes on Cocoa Beach the morning of our departure. This location is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the water/beach....everything is so close. To get to the beach, you just walk across the street. Wonderful stay and I know where to go now for a quick R&R!
About the Host, Jason & Dana
I grew up in Cocoa Beach so being surrounded by water it was only natural to become an avid surfer and fisherman. Traveling to Surf has taken me all over the world. Some of my favorite trips include Central America, the Caribbean, Thailand and Indonesia.
