Close to the park entrance, very far away from the lava flow.

Lovely house for family and friends looking to explore the national park or to escape and just spend evenings relaxing by the fire at the sounds of the forest. Master bathroom downstairs, and 2 upstairs, one of which has 2 separate single beds.

Eat, sleep, brush your teeth, shower, and do yoga .. all with the view of ferns and lush plant life surrounding the house. Gorgeous place and very clean. Would love to go back!

Peaceful home in a beautiful location with great access to Volcano NP. Our family really enjoyed it, especially the wood burning stove, relaxing atmosphere and amazing shower! We would definitely stay at the Ginger Hale again.

We had a great time at Ginger Hale! The proximity to the Volcanoes National Park was perfect. We were 10 minutes from the park entrance. There was plenty of space in the house for 6 adults. I highly recommend if you are visiting the park!

Beautiful retreat in a jungle like setting. Gorgeous indoor/outdoor shower, large windows make you feel one with nature around you. Great guidebooks and local information.

We loved the jungle feel and all of the windows. It's a beautiful house, feels isolated with easy access to the national park and Volcano town.

Getting around

Public transportation is not really adequate and stops far from the house. We recommend a rental car. The last stretch of road is not paved, but it is passable even for a compact car.
