The location of Olivier's house is hard to beat, in the Oudayas, in my opinion the nicest area to experience Rabat's traditional lifestyle and enjoy this very special and fascinating neighborhood (5 mn from the beach!). Communication with Olivier was excellent end-to-end, and we much appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out. The house is large, in reasonable condition, and is probably best for a family or group. We were traveling only 2 people and it was a bit too big for us (much larger than many Oudaya houses, which tend to be tiny shoeboxes). The terrasse and the view from the terrasse are great, but better to know it is on the river side (not the seaside) if that's important to you. Probably a good choice if traveling with children, as the house doesn't have the dreaded stairs of many riads and traditional moroccan houses. From the pictures we were expecting a little more in the way of decoration. All in all a good experience.

This is a great staying! Olivier picked us up, and showed us many useful information, helped us to call the restaurant and the car of sending to the airport, even help us of unsung the washing machine! The house itself is clean, bright and lovely! Thanks for all the things the host did for us!

this is really a lovely, big and comfortable house, central in the kashbah, close to most things you would want to see!

Very noisy at the tourist entrance to the charming kasbah, overlooking the fairgrounds and only local cafe. If you want to feel like you are in the middle of a discotheque, this is for you: loud pop concerts from 6pm to after midnight from May (Festival Mawazine) through late September, with afternoon rehearsals and fair ride noises. Also, in the warm months, the neighbors talk outside (next to this house) until 1:30 AM every evening. The house's facilities are worn and in need of renovation, kitchen dirty, sink badly discolored, attracting thousands of ants swarming everywhere daily; shower has good water pressure, but drainage problems; terrace has old plastic chairs and table, overlooking the fairgrounds and cafe.... House is spacious and could work for a noisy large group which only wishes to sleep here or party on the terrace, (though the neighbors complained to me about excessive noise coming from renters of this house). To avoid for anyone looking for calm and a bit of luxury. I had to rent another place for my second week, after losing my first week of work to no sleep and the constant noise. The owner lives in the area, was responsive to calls, but blamed me for the problems his house had! The electricity went dead 4-5 times with malfunctioning electrical box. It was left for me to figure out, in the midst of doing an interview there for my work. After very unpleasant attempt at negotiating an accommodation, during which time owner told me all these problems were a result of my "bad karma"!!!! , we agreed that I could move out for a week (he had other renters who could take my place ) but returning the last two weeks had additional problems. When there was a wind storm, and the make-shift tarp stretched over the glass ceiling broke off, flailing in the wind, the owner was away and his family did not respond to my calls . I had to tie part of it down, and when metal pieces were crashing against the glass in the middle of the night, I had to go up and cut away the metal piece at 4 AM. The owner said this was a "force of nature," refusing responsibility for the shoddy, old construction, apparently done by an amateur, not even thanking me for not letting the whole thing fly away in the wind in the middle of the night. All in all, over-priced, extremely noisy area, run down facilities, light and spacious but no windows inside, functional cable tv but intermittent wifi that does not permit sending medium sized files (2mb), sheets changed weekly and plenty of blankets, but no kitchen linens (one dish towel for a month); lots of mosquitos. My worst rental in a lifetime of renting homes from France to North Africa to Vietnam, made even worse by near impossibility of reaching Air bnb for almost a week, a malfunctioning "Case manager" system, and no help from them.

Olivier's house was great. It is in a perfect, easy-access location in the Oudayas. Olivier was unfortunately not available to greet us, but his son took his place and was very helpful and welcoming. The place was very clean and tidy and were accurately depicted in the pictures. Would strongly recommend!
