The Space

The space is perfect for singles or a couple. There is a mattress available to pull out for two people not wishing to share a bed. The house has a lovely garden and outdoor area for relaxing and reading. The proximity to shopping, the airport, walking tracks etc makes this an ideal place to be in a relaxed environment but still close to the action.

Guest Access

You will have access to a large lounge area for television or DVD watching or just a quiet read. Help yourself to the bookshelf. The kitchen is well equipped and you are free to use any condiments in the pantry.

Interaction with Guests

As my work is very busy and can take me out of town at times I may not be available to meet and greet you. Mrs Meow our cat is always glad to see you in! Please message me the day before your arrival with an estimation of arrival time. I will give you instructions of house access. When I am home we often enjoy sharing a meal and chatting. I am always happy to give you local advise and recommendations. I will supply you with my cell number and always available to talk.

The Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is wonderfully located for walking, biking, and close to Remarkables Park Shopping centre. We live in quiet, private street with great people around us. If you are without transport I am happy to lend you a bicycle to ride to Queenstown or you a very close to a bus stop. We have lots of sun in Frankton and a short walk to the lake front. 15 mins walk to a great little lakeside cafe. 5 mins walk to The Hilton for a glass of wine. Options are many.

Getting around

Buses are easy from here. Timetable on the fridge. Bus stop 2 mins away. Biking very easy, tracks are flat and a lovely 30 min ride to Queenstown central. Water Taxi from the Hilton to Queenstown central a great way to go to town. Parking on the street always available. You walk from the airport (15 mins), taxi or call me and I may be able to collect you if I am free.

  • The location is perfect for people who want to visit queenstown but live in a peaceful place. You can't hear anything but birds. The house just at the start of the tract which you can walk to queenstown along the lake in 1hour, then you can take a bus come back.
The house is pretty cozy, lovely. You can see the snow mountain from your room, in the bed. If you are particular with beds, I'm sure the bed can makes you satisfied. We haven't met the host, but we had 2 nights great experience of stay.

  • We had a wonderful experience although we did not end up staying at Trudi's house. Trudy communicated well with us prior to our arrival. She told us that there were two other individuals staying in the house at the same time that we would be arriving. She also let us know that she would be out of the country without her good friend would take care of us upon our arrival.
We did arrive and found the house without difficulty. However, unbeknownst to Trudy as well as to her friend one of the individuals staying at the house had brought in another friend and thus all the rooms were occupied. Trudy's friend quickly offered her residence as an alternative. We took her up on it and were very pleased with the accommodations. So, all in all, despite not actually staying at Trudy's house the whole experience was outstanding.

  • Trudy's house has the perfect location, with sunny views from my bed onto the snow capped mountains, close to the airport and recommended car hire service to easily set out on three wonderful trips in three different directions on three different days, all suggested by Trudy. A beautiful walk into Queenstown with a water taxi ride back, to a warm friendly and very inviting home with good company.

  • Trudy is a great hostess, made us welcome and gave us good tips for places to see. Her home is situated in a very quiet location and the supermarket is close by.
The ferry ride from Queenstown was a great experience with views of the lake and surrounding country.
    We highly recommend Trudy.

  • Trudy's spacious and interestingly decorated home is located in a quiet setting about 6-7km from the town centre. The guest room is very spacious , well appointed and with a most comfortable bed.The bathroom is separate but nearby.Unfortunately I was booked for only one night and did not get the opportunity to meet Trudy.
I thought this property was of superior quality and would certainly endeavour to stay there again should the opportunity arise.

  • Our stay at Trudy's was very relaxed and comfortable, great access from the airport, friendly neighbors and a wonderful cat (Mrs. Meow) who kept us company. Trudy was away but her friend Jesse was there for our arrival and gave us helpful tips for navigating Queenstown. We would definitely stay there again, lovely people and a very welcoming environment.
