Retreat and relax in this rustic cottage on quiet Zwickers Lake. This lakeside cottage on the beach is ideal for a romantic getaway or family vacation.
Feed our free range chickens, enjoy a paddle in the kayaks, canoe or pedalboat, and let the kids play in the sand with the many beach toys.
The space
The cottage has fresh, clean filtered drinking water, right from the tap! No need to bring bottled water, just bring your water bottle for taking water down to the beach.
This is a one bedroom cottage. The bedroom walls do not go all the way up to the high ceiling, so you can hear between the bedroom and living room easily. The bedroom contains a comfy double bed. The pullout couch in the living room turns into a double bed, but it is not particularly comfortable and we recommend it for children only.
All sheets, pillows and blankets and provided.
The kitchenette has a toaster, coffeemaker (coffee, filters and sugar provided), fridge, single burner cooktop, large toaster oven, griddle, crock pot, microwave and a BBQ. All pots, pans, cutlery and dishes, etc. are supplied.
The bathroom has a shower, sink & toilet. Please bring your own toiletries. Towels are provided.
The cottage does have wifi.
Both cottages have their own private fire pit. There is also a communal beach fire pit. Kindling and a small amount of firewood available at no charge. Additional firewood can be purchased for $8 a bundle, cash only, or you are welcome to bring your own.
Two kayaks, a canoe, and two stand up paddleboards available for your use. Please note: the motor boats are not for guest use.
Life jackets of various sizes are provided. Bring your fishing rod and licence and paddle out to fish for small mouth bass. There’s a hammock at the beach for your relaxing, and plenty of chairs. The water is clear and warm and the beach is gently sloped making it perfect for kids. Your kids will love the permanent raft for jumping, and the cove has no boat traffic so it’s safe for swimming. There is very little boat activity on the lake.
To reach the cottage, you must drive down a short hill on a gravel road, easily accessible by all types of vehicles.
We will be home to greet you and check you in, and provide you with a personalized code.
The number of people on the reservation is the number of people permitted on the property. If you have reserved for two adults and one child, only two adults and one child will be permitted to check in. Please ensure you have reserved for the correct number of people. If you have reserved for the incorrect number of people, please submit an alteration request prior to check in. Max 4.
This is a quiet lake, and loud partying is not permitted. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am. We do live on site, and are usually available at all times. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed when not in the cottage. Absolutely no fireworks permitted.

Guests are welcome to come up to the main house to feed the chickens.
Other things to note
Unfortunately we are not able to allow day use visitors or extra guests. The property is for the use of those on the reservation only.
The kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, etc., and a small selection of spices for cooking. Cooking lobster? Let us know and we’ll bring you down a boiling pot, claw crackers and everything else you need.
Though the cottage does not have a tv, we have a selection of books available in the cottage and can supply extra.
