The space
Come and experience the tranquility at Moonridge McCall Cabin in McCall, ID. Only 10 minutes from downtown McCall and yet in it's own little piece of outdoor paradise. The Moonridge cabin sits on 1.5 beautiful acres with nothing but wonderful views and open meadows. While not a new cabin it's the perfect blend of classic vintage cabin with tons of room, comfortable beds and everything you need to make memories with family and friends. And if you don't believe us, just read our reviews.
There is plenty of wildlife to see as well as a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and off in the distance, Brundage Mountain Ski Resort. Right as you pull into the drive way you will see the basketball hoop and fire pit. There is a two car garage with skis, snowboards, boots, inner tubes, a few bikes and many other toys for you to use while staying at the cabin. Open the front door and walk into the rustic charm of a log cabin with lots of room to spare! The first thing that you walk into is the great open entry where there is a long bench to sit down, take your shoes off and plenty of hooks to hang up your coat if you spent the day playing in the snow, take off your boots if you spent the day hiking, or slip off your flip flops and hang your towel if it is summer and you have spent the day at Payette Lake or the Payette River. The entry also has one of the two pellet stoves. In the winter it can be nice and warm and ready for you to immediately get warm. Right off of the entry is the rustic barrel game table that is a piece of McCall history. Bring your competitive side for a grueling family game of monopoly or enjoy making family memories putting together a puzzle. The game table can also be used as another dinning area. One small step up brings you into the large family room. The massive floor to ceiling rock fireplace brings warmth and rustic charm to the room. This is also where one of the flat screen TVs is, where you can relax and view your favorite DVD, VHS or satellite TV program from DISH along with a roku with Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Disney included. Walk past the family room and straight into the over-sized kitchen with three ovens, two dishwashers, two refrigerators and plenty of counter space to cook for a crowd! There are also two dinning areas on either side of the kitchen with large kitchen tables and a bar area with bar stools. Just a few steps on the other side of the kitchen open the rustic barn sliding doors into the kid paradise bunk room equipped with a triple bunk, bunk bed and single bed, along with a large loft with a slide! There is also a TV with DISH and Netflix/Disney. It is the perfect space to let kids, teens or adult kids loose to have supervised fun from adults in the kitchen or close the doors for some peace and quiet while the party still continues on in the bonus room. Off of the family room you can walk down a hallway with a half bathroom, a full bathroom and a bedroom on the main floor that has two queen beds and a desk area for those unfortunate times when work still needs to be done while on vacation. Also off of the family room is the staircase leading up to the 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms upstairs. Enjoy the wood and tile floors through out the entire cabin, that's right, no carpet, other than a few area rugs! Great for those with allergies or for your more furry family members. Upstairs you will find a wonderful new hall bathroom that has a separate sink area, great for those needing to get ready or use a sink while someone is using the full bathroom. The upstairs also has three bedrooms that have 2 queen size beds in each room. Two of those bedrooms on the front side of the house share a jack and jill bathroom and a sliding glass door with a deck. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a pull out sofa bed from IKEA. The back left bedroom also has a crib (no bedding) and a large chair for any nursing mothers that might be in your group.
The large basement is a great teen hangout. Besides being nice and cool in the summer it also has a large sectional sofa with a hide-a-bed, a pool/ping pong table, full size 4player arcade with 10,000 games (Mortal Kombat anyone?) air hockey, foosball, dart board, 60" flat screen TV and Xbox 360 with two controllers. It's a great space to send the up late teens down to watch a movie or play some video games while the rest of us sleep!
