The chalet consists of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a small kitchen, living room and a large private terrasse.
One bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second bedroom two single size beds. They both have a closet, a safe and air conditioning.
The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, juicer, cooking station with oven, microwave, toaster and kitchen supplies.
Bed sheets, towels, and beach towels are provided and a weekly maid service.
Access to wireless internet.
The chalet is located in a residential part of Guiones beach. It's a very quiet neighborhood, yet close to the main shops and restaurants and only a 10 minutes walk away from the beach. It's very relaxing and peaceful after a day exploring the area. It's also next to the famous Yoga Institute of Nosara.
There are many ways to get around in Nosara. It's possible to rent a car, a golf car, an ATV or a bicycle. Walking is always an option but everything in Nosara is quite spread out so I'd recommend getting a transport if you want to see most of it.
Note : the road gets very dusty in the dry season (December to May) as it' s not paved.
I have another similar chalet at the same location. Check out the availability at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1970180.
Great little Casita. Marine was very hospitable. Although it is close enough to walk to the beach, there is some "rough terrain". We decided to extend our golf cart rental for the entire stay to make getting to the beach and around town a little easier.
Beds were comfortable, great porch!
We really enjoyed our little casita. It sleeps four (a family of four - I think two couples would be a little crowded), but we liked having the extra space for ourselves. Nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and fan and A/C. Basic kitchen setup that allows for self-catering. Great porch with a fan for breakfast or an afternoon beer.
One thing: I strongly recommend getting some form of transportation (bike, ATV), as the walk to the beach and into town (approx. 15 minutes) got a little tedious in the end.
Lovely and comfortable little casita just up the road from my favorite beach in Costa Rica. Location in town is excellent - steps to the Yoga Institute, minutes to classic surf, shops and restaurants. Location in the world is amazing - wake up to howler monkeys, shred waves all day, Imperials on the porch at night after dinner at Harbor Reef. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with air conditioning. Enough to cook if you feel like it, though certainly a basic set-up. Marine is a kind and responsive host/landlady.
Great little cottage! Perfect Location!
Stayed here 6 days and it was a great little base camp for surfing & exploring beautiful Guiones.
We especially loved breakfasts on the porch in the morning sun!
I have just spent 5 wonderful days at Color Champagne. The location is perfect for yoga as it is just next door to the Nosara Yoga Institute which offers about 4 public classes per day for $15 for 90 minutes. They are great classes with top rated teachers. Try them all.
The beach is a 10 minutes walk and is superb. Wonderful for just lazing around and perfect for surfers of all abilities. Surf lessons are plentiful at around $50 for one and cheaper for more people.
There are also loads of other activities to do which can be organized in Nosara. I enjoyed zip lining with "Miss Sky" which was fabulous and very professional. Highly recommended
Shops and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk through the jungle path so everything is really close by. I was alone and did not have a car, so did not venture out at night as it gets really dark with very few street lights. You can easily hire a car in Nosara, as well as ATV's, bicycles and golf carts if need be.
The chalet is fab, with comfy beds, great kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi and A/C.
Marine was very helpful and responded instantly to my emails. She arranged a taxi for me from the Nosara airport and I then used them all week.
There are plenty of shuttle services to the Liberia airport for $130 for a private hire, or less if you can go with a group at a scheduled time.
All in all a fabulous week and I will definitely stay at Marine's place again.
Having stayed 5 nights, I'd recommend Marine's place as long as you don't mind being a bit of a walk from the beach (if you've got a car or vehicle of some kind, then it's fine.) The air conditioning worked beautifully in the hot afternoon temperatures and the kitchen came complete with everything we needed to cook meals at home. It was a nice quiet area right near the nosara yoga institute. The patio was really nice to eat dinners in the evening.
Super cute, homey bungalow situated on the street, but in a quiet part of Nosara, which is exactly what we wanted.
The place is as described, simple, clean. The beds were comfortable (a bit on the hard side but it's probably better for your back). We recommend renting bicycles or quads (we rented a golf cart since there were 3 of us) because it was too far (10 minutes) for us to walk to town in the heat (maybe we're lazy) plus it was fun zooming around! No matter what your transportation mode, if you come during the dry season, bring a bandana to wear like a bandito when in the streets because it gets insanely dusty.
The sister hostesses Marine and Cécile were very sweet, friendly and helpful.
All in all a great experience!
We would stay here again!
