Interaction with Guests
Although I travel often for work, I am just a phone call or email away. My housekeeper lives in the building and will be there if needed.
Step out the door and you will find yourself on the famous Rue de Grenelle, a stone's throw from the cobblestone market street Rue Cler where you can buy fresh bread, cheeses, fruits & vegetables in the local market or simply have a café on one of the many terraces.
Minutes away from the Eiffel Tower, Ecole Militaire & Les Invalides, you can visit Paris on foot. Trocadero, the Champs-Elysees, Tuilleries and museums Branly, Rodin & Orsay are also nearby.
Although you could easily visit Paris on foot, the apartment close to both the metro and bus.
We are just between the Metro stops La Tour Maubourg and Ecole Militaire on the line 8 (both are within 3 mins walk)
There are also quite a few buses the 92 takes you just to the footstep of the Arc de Triumphe. The 69 takes you thru St Germain down to the Marais and the 80 takes you to the Champs Elysees.
Other Things to Note
For our guests comfort, we have recently renovated the apartment from repainting to refurbishing the floors as well as upgrading the small shower to a beautiful Italian bath (with rain shower) therefore the floor plan has slightly changed. We will be updating the site with new photos (but are waiting for new doors and other items to be installed)
The apartment is situated in a lovely 1930s building.
We ask that our guests treat our home as you would treat your own and to respect our neighbors by keeping the noise down in the evening.
No parties are permitted in the apartment (
We have a no smoking & no shoes policy.
While in the apartment, we ask that guests remove their shoes as the wood floors have just been redone and as the building is quite old, the neighbor downstairs can hear every step.
This is a non smoking property and we request that our guests refrain from smoking in the apartment or hallway.
Smoking is permitted only outside of the building (there are quite a few cafes on Rue Cler where you may smoke on the terrace.)
Phones : We have internet package that allows you to make local & international calls for free to land lines only.
We are happy to allow our guests to use the phone during their stay, we simply ask that the phone is used only for calls to other land lines.
Please use your personal mobile phones to call other mobiles in France or abroad as these are not included in our package and have an additional charge.
Enjoy your stay!!!
We loved our stay! The place was exactly as pictured. Great location. Though we never met Greta she was always available to reach if we have any questions and she checked on us to make sure we arrived okay as our flight came in late. It was a treat to sit back and enjoy the view of the Eiffel tower each night. Also a plus that since it's next to Rue Cler on the occasion that we did take a taxi, they all could find the place with no problem.
Great flat. Freshly renovated. Perfect location. Clean and tidy. Modern kitchen and appliances.
Recommended for couples definetely.
Paris is the best city in the world, it is the truth. And how wonderful that in this town you and your family are waiting and greeted like dear people. Greta - a wonderful hostess and very friendly to their guests. In her home want to come again and again. Very comfortable apartment in all - and in the kitchen and in the bedroom and in the bathroom. The apartment is tastefully decorated and it is nice. My family celebrated the New Year twice in a house warming. And we are very very happy. Greta, thank you! We will definitely come again.
Although we never met, communication with Greta was easy through (website hidden) or phone. She was very helpful with questions we have about the apartment and Paris before and throughout our stay.
Getting into the apartment was easy with Greta's clear instructions. The apartment was nicely heated up in before our arrival.
The window at the child's ensuite has a direct view of the Eiffel Tower. The master bed is comfortable but very very high. The shower is opened, right beside the bed.
Rue Cler is just round the corner, 2-3 minutes walk. Metro (La Tour-Maubourg) is on the other end, about 5 minutes walk.
Overall, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Greta could not have been nicer or more welcoming. Her directions were thorough and the welcome book had so many great suggestions for restaurants, cafes, etc. The apartment was the perfect size for me and my 16 year old son. The view of the Eiffel Tower was breath taking and the overall location ideal for sight seeing. A wonderful place to call home for our 5 days !!
I stayed in Greta's apartment for a month and it was a pure delight. I LOVE the apartment. It is clean, airy, bright, tastefully decorated, calming, and uncluttered, but it had everything I needed and more. The apartment was renovated shortly before I arrived, so it was, if anything, better than expected. I loved (and often used) the kitchen, and I even found doing the dishes with my view of Paris rooftops to be delightful. The bed in the master bedroom is insanely comfortable and the new walk-in shower is terrific -- no problems with water temperature or pressure. This apartment is carved into the top floor of the building, irregularly shaped with vaulted ceilings and skylights in places that add to its overall immense charm. And, the view of the Eiffel Tower from the window in the child's room - amazing. I would prop my elbows on the window sill and watch it twinkle like it was the best show ever. It may be the best show ever.
The neighborhood is terrific, too. Safe, clean, quieter and less crowded than some other tourist-friendly areas, with great markets and restaurants. It was always a treat to emerge from La Tour Marbourg metro and into this oasis of a neighborhood. I also highly recommend taking buses -- #69 hits most tourist spots -- but I walked almost everywhere depending on the weather and time of day.
Greta, herself, was amazing, immediately responsive to any inquiries I had, which were few because she provides you with so much information, there's not much to ask about. I arrived before check-in, bleary-eyed, and was able to leave my bags in the apartment and get in earlier than scheduled. While I was in Paris, she checked in repeatedly to make sure everything was all right, and when she was traveling, left additional local contact numbers for me in case there were any problems. There were no problems. It was an amazing and magical month, and Greta's wonderful apartment, figured prominently in that. What a terrific place to start and end each day.
Terrific. Greta met us on arrival, and was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. The apartment was terrific, and just re-renovated with brand new bathroom/shower. Can't wait to come back.

After growing up in the states, I moved to Europe 20 years ago to finish my studies and to start a career.
We have been living in Paris for the past 16 years and now have the opportunity to live between Amsterdam & Paris and are enjoying the experience.
As there is no better way than experiencing new places like a 'local' we would like to open our homes to you.
We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!
