Amazing Host, Amazing Location and Amazing Experience. Colin and his mom are the best host. We stayed for a week and absolutely no issues. Huge place and very clean. Will stay again for sure!!
We arrived early in the morning, but we were able to leave our luggages before check in time.
We met our host, very welcoming and also help us find a parking spot.
We loved Everything! We found exactly what we were looking for. Near to our destinations, safe and clean environment for us and our kids.
The room is very spacious and clean for two persons. It's very thoughtful of him to provide most of the toiletries that you can think of, like towels, hairdryer and hangers. He also provides us with many brochures and flyers about the attractions giving us a lot of information and advice on where we should travel around New York City. Subway is in walking distance and laundry and convenient store are just across the street that made things easy. I will recommend people to stay in his place again if they want to travel in NYC.
I just returned from a great stay in Colin's and Lois' (him Mom) apartment. I arrived 2 1/2 hours earlier than planned, but Lois was ready for me! She gave me my key, I unloaded my stuff and was off exploring the neighborhood -which by the way, is really great. Lots of nearby restaurants (I found a great little sushi place at B'way and 144-sh). The 145th Street 1 train (red line) to Times Square took just 20 minutes. And had I transferred to the 2/3 train at 96th it would have been even faster. The apartment is great. Very quiet. Your room is on the inside of the building, and I couldn't hear any street noise at all. The window A/C was a blessing because it was HOT in New York this week! The room is exactly as pictured. Very spacious and clean. I felt very comfortable in the apartment. The bathroom is right outside your bedroom and has a big shower/tub. Colin and Lois were very hospitable, and I greatly enjoyed my conversations with them. I highly recommend this rental!
Colin's place is amazing!!!! Him and his mother were really kind and I am happy that I stayed at his place. Once again, this place is for real. The interior is amazing, the bed was comfortable, and I had a wonderful stay.
A stay at Colin's was very pleasant - he is a welcoming host, responding fast to inquiries and trying to help where he can. The place is just as described.
Colin was great and so was his mom. The place was clean and the bathroom was almost always open. It was a lively part of Broadway at all times of the day. The only thing is that when we first arrived there was some kind of exchange going on at his next door neighbor's apartment and the whole floor smelled like weed. Not his fault at all of course, and it didn't bother me, but my mom was a little uneasy about that. Though as the week went on we realized that we were perfectly safe.
I'm sorry about your bad first night experience. It is one of the bad parts of living in a neighborhood that is changing. Thank you though for the otherwise great review. We hope that you are settling in nicely in your new apartment, and we wish you all the best with your school.
