The Space

Come and stay at my newly renovated open-plan home. The double room is restful with plenty of storage. There are all mod cons in the house at your disposal. I am located in a quiet street very close to the city.

Guest Access

Guest have full access to the house and all its facilities. This is for short term stays only.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the house, but am in and out a lot of the time. Happy to chat, but also to give you your own space.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is situated just 2 km from both the city centre and the beautiful Phoenix park. There are several bus routes 300 meters from the door and buses take 10 mins to the centre, Alternatively, if you fancied a walk it would take about 25 minutes to O'Connell Street. Dublin's botanical gardens are a also 2 km - well within walking distance and worth a visit.

Near to us are the villages of Phibsborough and Stonybatter where you will find supermarkets, bars, international restaurants and lots of second hand shops.

Getting around

Buses 122, 120 and 38/a stop 300 meters from the house - cost €1.90 from and to city centre. A taxi from the city costs in the region of €8.00 and from the airport to the house €20.00.

Other Things to Note

Happy to provide you with details of what's on in the city - gigs, venues, restaurants, plays, exhibitions and pubs. I'll know the hots spots and the not so hot spots!

This is a gay friendly home. Welcome and I look forward to meeting you.

  • Edel was flexible with check in times, and gave me every detail I needed to arrive at her home. She was a great host with nice home, very close by bus to O'Connell Street. She was very helpful with all my questions. I enjoyed my stay! Thanks Edel.

  • Very quiet room close to the airport and to the city center.
The house was clean a had a nice little garden wich made you feel as if you were in the country.
Edel is a very charming person who advised us some nice places to visit.
She waited for us, even if our flight was very late (1:00 am).
I would definitely go back to her if I had to go back to Dublin.

  • Very quiet area with easy walk to Temple Bar (~40 min). Taxi costs from airport ranged between €19 and €34. The home is cozy and uniquely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Even though we didn't spend much time with our host, we did share a tea with her and she was very pleasant. She also had the breakfast table set for us each morning.

  • My boyfriend and me enjoyed our stay at Edel's house. Edel is a lovely host, she is very friendly and gave us some good advices where to go in Dublin ( interesting museums, restaurants, pubs,...). She also offered some breakfast. The house is very nice and placed in a quiet area but not too far from the town center (about 20 min to walk/5 min by bus). The room is cosy and nicely arranged. Everything was tidy and clean. We would highly recommend this AirBnB-acommodation.

  • A short but pleasant day at Edel's cosy house. She offered us a cup of tea when we arrived and recommended us a restaurant not too far (the Mulligan's). She lives in a very quiet are a and the bed is very comfortable. Edel is welcoming.
