Your own spacious and cozy studio right in the center of the world!

The Space

My apartment is truly a gem. It is a large studio space located right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen and Times Square. You are a 2 minute walk from the famous 42nd Street where you have access to all of the Broadway shows and everything Times Square has to offer. You will also be a mere 5 minute walk to glamorous 5th Ave - the best shopping in all of NYC! From high-end boutiques like Prada and Armani to the mass retailers like H&M, Uniqlo and Zara, there is literally something for everyone.

WIFI and utilities are included.

Make yourself at home when you're here! I have a large fridge with a water filter inside, stovetop and oven, utensils, cookware and dinnerware that you can enjoy on a bar sized dining table, so if you feel like relaxing inside, all of the amenities you would expect from your own home are right here.

Consider yourself lucky because I am currently in the process of redesigning my space, which means everything is BRAND NEW, including my bed! You will fall into the memory foam, queen sized mattress and never want to leave.

As far as the bathroom goes, please bring your own shampoo/conditioner. I offer soap and lotion. I also offer clean linens, comforter, pillows and 1 fresh towel.

Guest Access

You will have access to virtually EVERYTHING in the city because you will be steps away from the subway station, Port Authority bus terminal and only a 5 minute subway ride to Penn Station, Long Island Railroad and New Jersey Transit. This means that not only is getting to my apartment easy, but getting around is extremely easy too! Great access from JFK, LGA and Newark airports.

Interaction with Guests

Having lived in Manhattan now for 8 years, I would be happy to give any travel tips to/from the airport and around the city, as well as any recommendations you may want for bars and restaurants.

The Neighborhood

Hell's Kitchen is such a unique neighbourhood because it is close enough to Times Square, but is also a fresh, fun and trendy experience that isn't so "touristy". You can enjoy a world class meal surrounded by fun and interesting people from locals to world travelers. Experience anything from South African to Japanese to Californian cuisine!

Getting around

EVERY SINGLE SUBWAY LINE IS ONLY 2 BLOCKS AWAY! The list of trains is as follows:

Other Things to Note

I am currently accepting adults only. Exceptions can be taken into consideration, please inbox me for further details if need be!

  • Host kept in fairly close communication via text message as we debarked in LGA and made our way to Hell's Kitchen. We had to meet her one train stop away to get the keys which was a bit exhausting, but the location is nice. It's two blocks West of Times Square and much quieter. I was surprised to not find an iron or ironing board because I don't know anywhere in NYC where I could have my clothes ironed. We went to Club BPM and didn't get back to the apt until 5:30am. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. We found the 24-hour Bread Factory a block away particularly yummy. Many thanks to our host for letting us use her place.

    Hi J,
I do actually have an iron and ironing board readily available for my guests but since you never asked me, I didn't keep it out for you. I don't like leaving items like that laying around because it looks bad and causes clutter.

  • I had a great experience at Sam's wonderful apartment. Located so conveniently just blocks away from the Subway, it was the perfect location to feel connected to the city but nicely separated from all the lights of Times Square. Lots of good restaurant options to tickle anyones fancy and my coworkers were all impressed that I stayed in such a cool area in NY. Food/bar options a plenty. Sam was so communicative and accommodating. I got in contact with her late notice because I didn't have much time to look for a place and Same came to the rescue with a quick confirm and quick communication. She was very sweet, gave me her key and instructions for the apt and I was on my way! The apartment is exactly how the pictures depict. Beautifully decorated and very clean. It has everything you need for a single or couple staying in NY, plus an elevator which was a treat after I stayed in a 5th floor walk up. I didn't try out the fold down futon but its there in case you want to fit more than two people in the space. Long story short, you can't find a better place to stay for a better price and Samantha's character as a host is the cherry on top. Will definitely stay at this apartment in the future. Thanks Samantha!

  • Samatha was very accomodating with arrival and departure times. The studio was as advertised. This place is all about location. I experienced many of the same things other guests have already noted but for what I needed - a place to spend a bit of time unwinding and grabbing some sleep, it was perfect.

  • Samantha is a great person. We had a very easy check-in and -out. Her apartment is as great as described. The studio is very cozy, clean and spacious. Its location is convenient to the subway stations, like 5-8 minutes of walk to Line A/C/E. I suggest couple or single person to stay. I will definitely book Samantha's studio next time!

  • Great space for entertaining an out of town guest. As others have mentioned the kitchen and bathroom aren't the best [a little smelly and a weird flushing toilet] but the space, otherwise, was clean, open, well decorated and best of all conveniently located! The biggest draw back was that our check in time was changed several times by the host which was really, really inconvenient for me because, naturally, I had planned MY day around the time originally given. I wish that part of the process was simpler.

  • The apartment is perfect, just steps away from Hell Kitchen, one of the most busiest area in NYC. It's clean and neat. Thanks again for hosting us Samantha!!!!

  • One word: LOCATION!

You can't go wrong with this place if you care to be a short walk from the heart of Manhattan/Times Square/Broadway/restaurants/Central Park. And a quick metro ride from everywhere else in Manhattan and beyond.

Now know that the place won't blow your mind. It's in a pretty old building and kinda small. It was fine for us because we just needed a place to crash at night. In addition, there is this thing with the heater where if it is on, it is on for the whole building and you can't have it turned off. We were there in cold weather so keeping a window open regulated the temperature well. But you have no control over when the heater is on or off.

The toilet was also a bit weird where it would take multiple flushes to drain. Wasn't that big of an issue but know that in general, all the fixtures were pretty ancient.

The place was clean - did I mention the excellent location - and the hosts were helpful. They also have good wifi.

I would definitely recommend this place if you are not a big group, plan to be out and about for the most part, and just want somewhere to spend the night. Samantha had warned us about noises from upstairs but we didn't hear anything. The bed is memory-foam and therefore very comfortable.
