And it is secure with the entire perimeter walled and gated for added security and privacy, softened by beautiful tropical plants and trees. Keyed entrance. Ample parking for those with vehicles. THERE IS NO BUSTLING PLAZA OR NIGHT CLUB NOISE!!! only natural, ambient sounds of nature and the occasional car going by.
Great location for surfing all areas along the coast and walking jungle trails leading to secluded beaches. The nearest beach, called Patzcuarito, is a beautiful ten-to-fifteen minute walk. Near-by jungle paths connect to all the secluded coves and beaches and are an alternative nature-walk route to town. 30 minute drive to Puerto Vallarta and all points north along the Riviera Nayarit coast.
Enjoy Sayulita's fine restaurants, unique jewelry made by local artisans, colorful boutiques, lively nightlife with live music, horseback, snorkeling, fishing, boating and hiking tours and activities.
Knowledgeable, local hosts are well-known for their attention to detail and solution-based, free concierge service. They are happy to connect guests to needed services and offer suggestions about how to navigate various details of life here. The goal is that guests have the best possible vacation!
Hosts help with transportation questions and with every aspect of a guest's arrival so that is low-to-no stress and problem free. It's easy to catch the green and white "Compostela" bus (right across from the airport using the handy pedestrian bridge) which then drops you on the north-side of town with only a short walk to Sayulita's main plaza.
Knowledgeable local Taxi Drivers know the way here and can bring you and your luggage right to the door, for a nominal 50 pesos fare after your fun bus ride through the lush jungle. Taxis are located near to the Compostela bus stop in Sayulita.

The Suite's (and two charming casitas also on site) best "HIDDEN SECRET" is its direct access to three of the area's most stunning SECLUDED BEACHES - Patzcuarito (which is DIRECTLY across the road) Carricitos and Playa de los Muertos.
The path leading to all three beaches is a mere "stone's throw" from the end of the driveway. Guests often prefer going to the Plaza/Main beach the "back way" vis a vis this beautiful nature walk which winds through the cemetery and along the bay through Villa Amor. If walking on the paved roads into town doesn't appeal, this great option certainly will!
Also, PLEASE NOTE, for those who prefer to walk on the paved roads to and from the Plaza/Main beaches, for added safety there is a below-grade foot path which runs alongside the brief stretch of the Punta de Mita that many guests prefer to use.
Sayulita is a breezy 30 minute bus ride from the airport. Getting here from the airport could not be easier! Just use the pedestrian stairs/bridge to the left of the airport exit doors.
The bus stop for the Sayulita Compostela bus is right at the bottom of the stairs on the other side of the highway. The fare is about $40 pesos each. It runs about every 20 min. so the wait is never that long. Or, there are many rental car options available right at the airport.
Hosts have many recommendations for transportation needs including easily-arranged Golf Cart rentals. Several rental car agencies are now located in Sayulita and provide a variety of options and pricing for your stay. After the bus arrives, it's a short walk to Sayulita's main plaza, past north-side shops and over the bridge, towards the town hub and activity.
Interaction with Guests
We appreciate our guests and deeply respect that it's their vacation. As some guests prefer privacy and others company, hosts are happy to accommodate guests' preferences to interact frequently or not to whatever comfort level or preference each guest prefers.
Casita Musica is situated, as the crow flies, directly across from one of the area's most beautiful secluded beaches - Playa Patzcuarito. This is also a prime location for surfing all areas along the coast near Punta de Mita. Or...walking the intricate network of jungle trails leading to the area's other wonderful secluded beaches closer-in to town - Playa Carricitos and Playa de Los Muertos. Playa Patzcuarito is a beautiful ten-to-fifteen minute walk away.
This is a tranquil, private and protected nature area with many fruit and flowering trees. Crowing roosters either add to the charm or occasionally annoy, but are part of the natural ambiance.
Birds, native to the area, flock to nearby trees throughout the day and into the early evening, also creating ambient sound. This is a natural birdwatcher's paradise. In season, a constant array of multicolored butterflies completes the daily "nature show." The comical Chachalacas (related to the wild Turkey) and in-coming flocks of the sweet but noisy Pericos (green wild parakeets) will keep you charmed and entertained.
Enjoy Sayulita's fine restaurants, unique jewelry made by local artisans, colorful boutiques, lively nightlife with live music, horseback, snorkeling, fishing, boating and hiking tours and activities. It’s a mere 30-45 -minute (depending on traffic) drive south to Puerto Vallarta and/or equidistant to areas of interest to the north along the Riviera Nayarit coast.
The Sayulita Compostela bus runs every 20 minutes departing to all points south Bucerias, Puerto Vallarta and the airport. Also, there is now service to neighboring San Francisco (San Pancho). Help with all transportation needs - from calling for taxis, renting cars, golf carts or bicycles and arranging fishing trips or day-long all-inclusive tours of the bay, is what guests can expect. Ample parking is provided for those who choose to rent vehicles for their stay.
Other Things to Note

Lesley and Martin were super helpful in showing us around & giving us local insights. Very sweet and welcoming people. We really liked that we had some separation from town- just a 10 minute walk to get there. There is some construction going on but we didn't find it super noisy. The yard/garden is a little torn up from the construction at the moment, but I liked that this place had it's own garden with bananas, gardenia, bouganvilla, etc. The nearby secluded beach that you can walk to (15-20 min) is amazing.
The pad was perfect for us- nothing fancy, but comfy and clean. Plenty of hot water. There was a good strong ceiling fan and plenty of windows to open for air. No screens though, there were a few nights with some mosquito action when we had to keep the place closed up. Overall though this place suited us just right.
L.A. and Martin were the perfect hosts! Their directions to get to the place were very easy to follow and they even paid for the cab ride to their ranch. It truly was an authentic Sayulita experience! Both are very artistic and invited us to an open mic night in the neighboring city of San Pancho at Panchitos; we had a blast! If you get a chance ask L.A. To show you the art she sells at the farmers market on Fridays. Thanks again for a great vacation!
Staying at Lesley and Martin's is an enjoyable experience for adventurous travelers. Suitable for people seeking to be away from everything and do not need to be pampered. Bring a flash light, it is crucial to find your way home or into town at night.
Street lamps are in the process of being replaced, as Sayulita is getting a re-vamping including the Plaza being repainted and cobblestone streets repaired, due to its new Pueblo Magico status. There IS a short stretch without a street lamp...and it's already in the discussion that bringing a flashlight is advised.
LA and Martin were very welcoming and greeted us as soon as we arrived. They showed us around the place and told us to come to them for anything at all. The neighborhood is very quiet and surrounded by lots of great wildlife. Very ideal for someone who wants to separate themselves from the nightlife in downtown Sayulita. If we ever come to Sayulita again, we'll definitely consider staying here again.
Leslie is a lovely host. Her place is cozy and outside of the x-pat rigmarole. I learned about the real Sayulita by my time with her. I woke up with the roosters and smelled fresh laundry on the line. The shower was lovely and always had hot water.
The hosts were terrific! They are very hospible and very willing to make you feel right at home. I'm. A chef and I was able to help Martin withe the preparation of his salsas! He and Leslie participte at the farmer's market. The accomadation are exactly as the are presented. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is 15 minutes from the town and it a nice walk in the morning. At night it is dark and you do need a flashlight. Please understand it isn't The Ritz but it is very comfortable. If you are a sound sleeper or dead tired like I was it is a perfect place. It wouldn't be my choice for a honeymoon or a romantic getway but it filled my needs! Feel free to ask them for suggestions as they know everyone in town. I will never forget Rancho Che Che!
Thank You Leslie and Martin!
It is so much appreciated when hosts get to experience a seasoned traveler, such as Philip, who understands the charms of Mexico, the sometimes random and quixotic nature of the experience, which contributes to the experience and is part of the adventure of international travel. Kudos to Philip! Not all elements of the travel experience, such as noise, are in the control of either the hosts or guests and is simply part of the fun. Great attitude and great experience hosting Philip!

About the Host, L.A. And Martin
We are a bi-cultural couple who live on the premises. We are both easy-going and personable people, with a passion for interesting and kind people who treat others kindly, for the lively and friendly exchange of ideas and for engaging discussions on all topics (or, alternately, silence is also good). Our motto: All travelers are welcome!. Other passions are travel (spontaneous road trips!), the beach, nature in general, philosophy, good food (luscious tropical fruit and seafood), GOOD FRIENDS and the arts – visual art, music, dancing and poetry. Our strong beliefs are that similarities and the connections between people are much greater than any differences. Travel is the universal teacher and the universal equalizer. Favorite television shows are International House Hunters, intelligent crime dramas, boxing, wrestling and irreverent comedy. High quality films (with or without subtitles) - always good! Music – all music with Latin-based rhythms (Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue), Reggae, European-based Classical music (especially from the Baroque era), music from the Mexican Romantic Ballad tradition, Contemporary and Experimental (Phillip Glass, Electronic), Intense or Ballad-based Rock 'n Roll (Queens of the Stone Age, Leonard Cohen) - in short, ANY music, if it's good. We are here to facilitate the best possible vacation any guest could have!
