Other Things to Note
We moved to this house from the Turin area because we were fascinated by the place. Here our family has experienced a change of lifestyle and started to use the land to our advantage.
In fact, Aiva means Acqua (Water): we have a water source… It also means for us: Aria -Air, Incanto -Enchanting, Vacanza -Holiday, Agricoltura -Agriculture.
More, we could apply some values which have always been fundamental to us concerning eco-sustainability: photovoltaic panels for electricity and hot water solar panels, drain for the collection of rain water, ecological materials friendly to the environment and health.
We are happy to share with the guests the positive sensations which this place has given us and continues offering from the very beginning.
Smoking is allowed only outdoor but not at the swimming pool.
Please do separate collection.
Please clean the kitchen before leaving.
Staying at Casa Aiva was a delight!
The comfort, size and lightness of the apartment, the fenced garden (very convenient with small children), the swimming pool, the peace and quiet, the beautiful surroundings, the nearness of Pinerolo with it's market twice a week, Torino and much more to visit, and last but not least the very warm and hospitable welcome by Barbara and her family!
I would recommend Casa Aiva to everyone interested in visiting the beautiful region of Piemonte.
Thank you very much!
Mariet, family and friends (Belgium)
We found the house beautiful and the pool is an added luxury. Turino is close and fun to visit. Pinerolo is also very nice, you can go there in the evening for a nice dinner. Elena is charming. We definitely recommend to visit this lovely place.
I wish there were more stars to award, as Barbara and the apartment would deserve them.
The apartment is beautiful, a gorgeous location with view, the interior decoration is in great taste and of the highest quality, all necessities (and many more) are present, all utilities are so clean that it appears as if one were the first visitor. Privacy is secured, but Barbara and family are available at all times for questions, recommendations, etc. There were several small presents (local specialties) awaiting us upon arrival, Barbara kept us up to date on local festivities, etc., gave us a bottle of their (excellent) wine to taste, we were encouraged to take the fruits from the trees. As it was a bit cool (second half of September) the central heating was on and we could use the pellets oven as desired.
Our facit: generosity, love for the region and a sincere desire to share it with others.
The only item to consider: September 2014 there were two young, beautiful, playful dogs, they were always fenced in, but barked whenever a car, tractor or people approached (as the house is at the end of a street, not very often) or when playing with each other They never barked in the night, but if anyone dislikes dogs or their barking they should inquire with the owners as to the development of their training.
We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was very spacious, light and comfortable. The view is really nice, overlooking a vineyard on one side and hills on the other side. It is an ideal place for relaxing. And a good starting point for excursions to charming villages, the loveley Torino and the Alps. The region feels very authentic, with only very few tourists.
Barbara was a superb hostess, giving us tips and advice.
We definately want to go back there, and enjoy this beautiful area a bit more.
We had a wonderful time @ this beautiful place. 2 adults and 2 kids. This house has a fully equiped bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, swimmingpool, garden and is situated on a hill so with a view to kill. Barbara is very sweet host and gave us great tips. We really recommend this place for a few nights. ( we booked 3 nights but expanded it to 5 because it was a success)
Great house in a very nice environment! A great place to have a relaxing holiday. Usually the pictures on the internet are nicer than the place itself, here the opposite is true :) We'll be back!
