Spacious and vibrant studio apartment in a sweet 1902 Craftsman house, with loads of amenities. Read the reviews, look at the photos, and book it.
Sleeps 4, with lots of room to spare. Really. It's over 1000 sq ft! You can spread out and still have room to dance!
This is flat out one of the coolest Airbnb's in the Emerald City!

The space

"Dreampop Studio" is a big, bright open space with gorgeous fir floors and a cool pop art, retro vibe.
Includes a big kitchen with a sunlit bistro area, a full bath w/ a cozy claw foot tub and shower, a dining area, living room, and lots of sleep options for up to 4 guests with a comfy queen bed, two airbeds, and two sofas. Also includes a washer/dryer and speedy wi-fi, + a 40" flat screen television (w/HBO & Showtime, etc).

Guest access

This is not an apartment or condo building with people coming and going all day. Your entry and entire space is completely separate and private from the main house upstairs. Please check your Airbnb Itinerary after booking to receive your door code.

Interaction with guests

If you're new to the area and want to know the highlights, I'm all over it... I'll even give you a quick 10 minute walking tour of all the great places to dine and shop in the neighborhood. Or if you're exhausted and want to cozy in right away, tuck yourself in like a potato bug... the place is super comfy and quiet, with awesome heated fir floors on chilly days, and cool like a cucumber on Seattle's sweltering days (yes we have those).

Other things to note

Queen-size bed sleeps two. Additional guests can be accommodated with comfy REI air mattresses (1 queen and 1 double). There are also two sofas you can easily doze off to dreamland on, while watching Sleepless In Seattle, which of course I saved on the DVR for you.
The kitchen has everything to get you started, plus coffee and tea. Four grocery stores (Super Safeway, QFC, Trader Joes, Madison Market Co-op) are within blocks.
The studio is not suited for children under 10 because of all the fancy schmancy doodads that make this place pop. Also, We do have a little Westie dog (Bart), but he does not have access to the studio.

We absolutely loved staying at Scooter's Dreampop studio. It was exactly as depicted, very private and quiet, but close enough to most of all the dining and shopping amenities we wanted or needed. Scooter was a dream host, even staying up late to greet us and show us the accommodations. He offered great recommendations and made himself available if we needed him. When we come back to Seattle, we'll be staying with Scooter.

The most amazingly cool studio with every possible amenity at your disposal. Scooter is a host who will go that extra mile to make your stay that extra bit special. His local knowledge for restaurants and places of interest were invaluable. You must try the Wandering Goose for brunch. The true boss of the studio (well he thinks so any way) is Bart a very amiable Westie.

If you like to stay a short bus ride out of town but have a plethora of cafes and restaurants a short walk away then look no further. What is awesome about Scooter's place is that you have a small apartment all to yourself. Scooter is a generous and spectacularly communicative host. We would happily come back next time we come to Seattle.

Scooters place was absolutely charming and exactly how he described it. It's got lots of character and is well furnished. It's super clean and comfortable and close to shops and restaurants. My boyfriend and I loved staying there and Scooter was so friendly and helpful; it definitely made our trip memorable.

Scooter has thought of everything and knows everybody. This stylish, spacious place had everything we needed, and was outfitted with lots of little thoughtful touches. His knowledge of the neighborhood restaurants and activities was thorough and appreciated. Had great meals at Smith, Kanak, Poppy, and Olive Tree, all of which were within walking distance. We also walked 2 miles to pike place market and the Space Needle for the obligatory photo op. The light rail just a few blocks away and able to's to meet a friend in the U District easily for a stroll through the arboretum. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back.

My name is Scooter, real name is Michael but there are way too many of those, so I go by my nickname Scooter. I am a photographer, shooting mostly portraiture and weddings, and some travel work. I love to BBQ, travel, and adore my city, Seattle.
I enjoy long walks on the beach. I also enjoy short walks, it all depends on how much time I have.
