Cozy space in Cozy Copenhagen

Apartment - Private room · Snorresgade, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 2300, Denmark

The Space

A block from the canal in trendy Islands Brygge, biking or walking distance from Tivoli, Museums, and the heart of Copenhagen (just across the bridge). You get a unique single bed (that I built) situated just under dormer windows with a peekaboo view of the water. This is an unusual bed, but gets rave reviews. You have this large room to yourself at night, in this cozy 1 bedroom apartment. It is the livingroom, but the door does close, so you can have privacy at night. The kitchen area is yours to use, but you should know it is extremely small (mini stove, mini fridge), so this is not the space for someone excited to do a lot of home cooking. But it's functional and you are welcome to use it. Also has a very small bathroom/shower space. Consider it a traditional old school european bathroom/shower experience. Water will get everywhere and that's OK! You'll get squeaky clean anyway! Overall, the location is awesome and the space is bright and clean. I'm working on my dissertation, so I'm a pretty quiet host. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have regarding your stay in Wonderful Copenhagen. :)

A few details:
There are two of us living here, but one of us is often gone, so it's a pretty quiet place to stay.
There are no curtains on the windows, and the streetlights stay on at night. If you are sensitive to light when you sleep, then you may want to bring a night/sleeping mask, or this may not be the place for you.
Again, please be prepared for a very small bathroom. It is quirky and unusual, but functional. Just don't want you to be too surprised! :)

  • Chris was a wonderful host and her place was really nice. My bed was right next to window and I had a nice view of the street. The neighborhood was also nice and there were nice places to eat (including late night pizza) nearby, as well as a river with stuff going on like an outdoor table tennis table. Chris stayed up to let me in on the first night and had lots of good stories.

  • I agree with every single positive review that has been written about Chris before. She is a very good host indeed.

The apartment is located only 20-25 minutes walking from Copenhagen historical center. There is no need to take metro, bus or taxi.

Chris´s apartment is also next to restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, ATM, and self service Laundromats.

The internet connection is reliable, steady and incredibly fast.

Her place is a good and central option to stay in Copenhagen.

    Thanks Chris for your hospitality!

  • I wrote to Chris after a noisy night at a hostel. I had never used the site before and was impressed that she respond so quickly. Her directions were super simple and guided me to the beautiful neighborhood of Islands Brygge, which is not only convenient to the rest of Copenhagen, but was itself a great area to explore. The room was sunny, spacious, and calming...just what I needed to relax before the next leg of my journey. Chris was great to talk to--an exemplary host!

  • Chris is a really kind, friendly and intelligent host. She showed me around and we had such a click that we had diner several times. If you are lucky she welcomes you with freshly baked brownies :)
The app is very clean and the room you have for yourself is big and warm. I missed the curtains just a little bit so bring that thingy to cover your eyes at night :) She wasn't around that much so you have the place for yourself a lot, and if she was, she was very quiet. If you are traveling alone and want a warm and cozy place.. this is the place where you should go!

I am diligently working on completing my PhD thesis and spend the majority of my time writing either in my office, or in my flat. So, it's pretty quiet around me right now. I love Copenhagen and I particularly love sharing the city with people who've never been here before. I look forward to having you has my guest in Wonderful Copenhagen!
