Interaction with Guests
I live right across the apartments, right outside the condominium. So If your ran into an emergency, or need my assistance with your travel plans, need a taxi or more wood, I am right there. And since you will be provided with my personal local phone for immediate texts or calls, I am reachable right away when not in my house. I do like to interact with my guests when possible but travelers are mostly busy most of the time, visiting archeological sites or enjoying the large and diverse variety of restaurants outside. Besides I have a clear understanding of people’s privacy so I often greet my guests upon arrival and say goodbye to them on check out day. I have had so many great experiences and I love what I do. Talking to me or finding me at my house won’t be a problem.

Love the place! That's the best place you could find in cusco if you want to spend some days in there. Monica is a very nice host and she will tell you everything you need.
The property is very well appointed and feels very homey... Monica is warm, friendly and will make you feel very welcome and gives you a run down on the local area, which REALLY helps
Monica is a wonderful host! She made sure to warn us about getting sick from the altitude and gave us some coca candy and tea to make sure we were all set. She was very thorough and had maps and a book for us for anything that we wanted to do or visit. The apt is such a delight and it would have been even better if my friends and i could figure out how to work the fireplace but we couldn't. The apt is cold but Monica provides heaters if you need them. Also the beds are the most comfortable i've ever slept in. Also the blankets are really warm too. My only complain is the hot water situation but it is Cusco and it's a minor complaint. I would definitely recommend this apt to anyone visiting Cusco. Thank you Monica for everything!
What a delightful experience staying at Monica's place in Cuzco! She is a wonderful host and extremely helpful with touring and shopping tips. The apartment is quaint and cozy and the fireplace was a big hit with my family! Highly recommended.
Fabulous stay all around! We were 5 adults and we had everything we needed to cook, and young men had the only decent wi-fi since getting to Peru, excellent location with everything in walking distance. Monica runs a very professional business, and our apartment stay was the smoothest we have ever had. Monica lived in the U.S. And speaks perfect English, as well as has the concept of customer support finely tuned. Well worth every penny!
Monica is an A++ host! Her level of caring and hospitality go beyond anything I have ever experienced before. Unfortunately, I arrived at Monica's space ill and she was very gracious in keeping the orientation brief and to the point, as well as making sure to speak to my husband and daughter specifically so that I could rest and not worry too much about details. She also inquired as to my welfare each time we saw her. In addition, Monica spent a lot of time arranging her driver, a very cautious and courteous man who does not speak English, to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted to do for a day of sightseeing in the Sacred Valley and left no contingencies uncovered, including how we'd communicate via her in case our limited Spanish failed in the event of needing to return early due to my not feeling well. She literally invited all of us into her living room and translated a conversation for 30 minutes, all the while my daughter and I admired her beautiful kitty who was super friendly and loving, making me feel better already!
The space itself is lovely and a great size for our group. Everything is just as in the photos and descriptions. A couple of things to note: This is a Peruvian home, not the American Hilton. You should be aware that the only sources of heat are the fireplace and two small radiant heaters. It was chilly during our visit, so prepare to layer on clothes. The alpaca blankets on the beds kept us cozy at night! Also, the bathrooms are on the first floor while the bedrooms are on the second. I was a little concerned about the distance at first since I was ill, but it turned out to be no problem. Everything you need to know is clearly disclosed in the listing.
Unfortunately, I was not able to visit the Plaza de Armas and other areas within walking distance, but my family went out without me while I rested and said the location was great. It's located on a very quiet street, but central to everything.
Overall, I was extremely happy with my choice to stay with Monica. I could not imagine a more helpful and caring host and for the price, any minor inconveniences were more than made up for in the space we had to spread out and the warmth of our host. Highly recommended!
