CASA MONDRIANA – DUPLEXl is a fully furnished two floor apartment (duplex) with 2 BR, 2 BATHS with 5 beds total.
Ideal for couples, families and large group of friends.

The space

Apartment #1 is a duplex apartment with 2 separate bedrooms on the second floor. Bedroom A has two large matrimonial beds. Bedroom B has 3 single beds (one bunk bed and one single bed). This duplex apartment is great for up to 7 guests.
Our beds are new and comfortable. We provide all bed cotton linens and towels. Each bed has two alpaca blankets, a comforter and a colorful throw on top. We understand nights in Cusco could be a little too cold for some and therefore we provide a daily supply of wood for the fireplace in the first floor.
Our kitchenette provides everything you may need to complement your stay (2 burner stove, refrigerator, microwave, electrical coffee machine, blender, toaster, sink, cups, plates, glasses, pans, fryers, etc.).
At only 5 blocks walking distance from the Main Square and surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants, public transportation, laundromats, post office, bakeries and Mercado San Pedro -the oldest and largest market in Cusco, this place is ideal for short or long-term stays. Enjoy the proximity to all touristic areas and restaurants while also enjoying the cultural flavor of appreciating locals in their daily activities and businesses.
Our apartments are in a gated safe street. People call it “cul-de-sac” because you must go through a gate to access our street. Our condominium has a security watch at night and you’ll need a key to access into it.
Additionally, we work with one of the best local travel agency to ensure good and professional service at a good price if you book with us. We offer group tours to the following places: City Tour (1.30pm-7pm), Sacred Valley Tour (8am-7pm), Maras Moray Salineras (8.30am-3pm), Tipon Andahuaylillas (8.30am-3pm) and the Rainbow Mountain (3.30am-6pm).
If group tours or collective guided activities are not for you we can also arrange a private tour with a private driver to come at your door. Our professional driver will take you to the same places at your own pace.
Finally, if you decide to book with us please note that we will require a time for us to meet on your arrival date. Contrary to hotels or hostels we do not have a 24-hours reception desk. We live not far from your place but we still need to have an idea regarding your arrival.
Check in starts at 12pm and Check out ends at 10am.
If you want us to coordinate your pick up from the airport, please let us know ahead of time. We will need your flight information (airline name, flight number and exact arrival time in Cusco) to coordinate the service.
The service costs 20 soles, which is like $6 USD for a four-door car which is usually good for up to 4 people.
If you flight arrives before 12pm you are welcome to still use this service to come to our house to drop your bags.
Looking forward to meeting you in person!

After a long trek on the Inca Trail you just want a warm shower and comfy bed - this house was perfect! It has a cabin feeling, which was warm and cozy. The home was clean and offered two full bathrooms. It may seem out of the city center but truly was walkable. It's also easy to catch a taxi or Uber. Monica was very helpful and welcoming. She provided us great tips on where to eat and was honest on the quality of food. She helped us set up taxi's to the airport for an early 6am flight. She also allowed us to store our luggage when we wanted to head to the city after check-out = great service! Overall, we had a great stay!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Monica was a fantastic host and the house was clean, had hot water for our traveling party of 7 and wifi better than at home, a rarity while traveling in Peru. Monica was on the spot with her advice and was flexible with arrangements as we did a four day adventure tour between stays. The apartment was a bit chilly on the cold Cusco nights, but the blankets on all the beds kept you toasty and comfortable. Definitely recommend Monica for those staying in Cusco. The apartment is secluded yet within a 15 minute walk of downtown exploring.

Monica was great! Her house was clean, comfortable, and had all the modern amenities (hot water, wifi). She even provided fire wood for the chimney which was a nice surprise! The location is a 10-15 minute walk or a quick taxi ride to everywhere you need to go. To top it all off, when we left to the jungle for 5 days she held our luggage for us! Will definetly stay there again when I return next year!

The house is great. She herself isn't great. Immediately after I reserved and paid for the airbnb, she asks me what time I will check in. That's fine, but before I even have a chance to answer, she messages me "if you will check in late, then this airbnb is not for you" which made me immediately feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. For being a psychology major, she does not know how to treat people. This was without me having messaged her any time details. When I booked my train ticket back from Machu picchu, I told her the time for that booking. But she went ahead and calculated my arrival time to Cusco. Which I trusted. I never agreed to be there at that time. I thought I would arrive at her calculated time, but I was wrong. There was a delay with the collectivo, and we stopped to eat lunch. Being tourists, we didn't have any cell access. I was worried and wanted to keep her updated, but there was no way to communicate the delay caused from the collectivo. When arrived to the airbnb, she immediately started saying how I did not arrive at the scheduled time, she is the one who said that time, and I did not know that there would be time issues with collectivo. To make this short, I think the house was good. Clean. Very cold but many blankets. But this does not make up for how I was treated, without being my fault. I told her mytrain time as soon as I had the details. I don't recommend this airbnb unless you can communicate with her, because she will not make you feel comfortable. I regret booking with her, because she kept insulting me directly "some people think they can walk in here like a hotel" without knowing that I was trying to get to her place as fast as I could.

Response from Monica Patricia:
Joseph, I started reading your comments but declined to read it fully simply because there I found no point in reliving my interaction with you. You were very inconsiderate from the start and extremely arrogant since the beginning. Asking your arrival time is a necessary thing in case you have not noticed it. We do not have a 24-hours reception desk and neither we can afford to have someone at the door of our apartments waiting for hour that guests show up. Take this into account in your future reservations so there is less hassle from your part to potential futur host.

I travelled to Cusco with my mother & brother and stayed at Monica's property for a total of 5 nights. We stayed in both unit 1 & 2 and while both units are pretty similar we just preferred unit 1. Monica is the perfect hostess- she arranged transport to & from the airport as well as a day tour of the Sacred Valley for us. She met us upon arrival (at 5AM!!) and provided a very complete overview of the apartment and area. Even giving us a map with markets, laundry and restaurants noted. We were in Cusco to do the Inca Trail and Monica kept our luggage safe and free of charge. She even had it waiting in the apartment on our return :) If I'm ever in Cusco again I'll stay with Monica for sure!!
