Interaction with Guests
I live right across the apartments, right outside the condominium. So If your ran into an emergency, or need my assistance with your travel plans, need a taxi or more wood, I am right there. And since you will be provided with my personal local phone for immediate texts or calls, I am reachable right away when not in my house. I do like to interact with my guests when possible but travelers are mostly busy most of the time, visiting archeological sites or enjoying the large and diverse variety of restaurants outside. Besides I have a clear understanding of people’s privacy so I often greet my guests upon arrival and say goodbye to them on check out day. I have had so many great experiences and I love what I do. Talking to me or finding me at my house won’t be a problem.

Monica was beyond helpful to my group when we stayed in this apartment. Her driver picked us up from the airport after dealing with our multiple flight delays, and she was there to greet us and offer tips on everything from altitude sickness to her favorite spots in Cusco. The apartment itself was perfect for us, very lovely and quiet, but very close to the main bustle of the city.
My wife and I recently stayed at Monica's wonderful and clean apartment near the center of Cusco while traveling with three of our friends. With two separate bedrooms and the option of more beds, this unit was perfect for us while we prepared for a backpacking trip on the Inca Trail.
Monica was an extremely welcoming host and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information that we needed during our stay. She even helped arrange a bus tour of the Sacred Valley for us and provided wood so we could gather around the cozy fireplace in the evenings.
We hope to be fortunate enough to come and visit the beautiful and fun city of Cusco again in the future. If we do, we will certainly be staying in these apartments again.
The apartment was as described - very clean and safe. A great value. Fairly quiet, there was some road construction but I don't imagine that will go on long. It wasn't as close to Plaza de Arms as we would have liked, but we got used to the 5-10 min walk, no problem. People we saw in the building were friendly. Monica was a great host - very knowledgeable of the area, helped us with taxis and tours. Her English is great as well.
Monica was a perfect host. The apartment was exactly as pictured, and she was able to provide us with airport pickup service which was very convenient. She thoroughly explained how to use the hot water, front door lock, wifi, etc., and was available throughout our stay for anything we needed. The apartment was very cozy, but a bit chilly. Luckily, a space heater was provided to help add some heat to the rooms.
Best of all, Monica even offered a place for us to store our bags while we hiked with Inca Trail for a few days. Great Airbnb host!
Mónica es una persona muy amable y acogedora. Realmente nos recibió muy bien, además de darnos buenas orientaciones para movernos por la ciudad.
Recomiendo esta casa, porque es cómoda y está muy bien ubicada.
Monica was friendly & helpful in making a recommendation for simple dinner late one night (Valeriana was the perfect choice that evening!). The apartment was reasonable walking distance from Plaza del Armas (10-15min, so not difficult), and good to have private space. Space itself was simple, and could use outdoor seating are, more like garden spaces in some of Cusco's hostels. Overall, it served our purposes while in town.
Samantha, I am surprised at some of your comments.
If the wood would not light up as you expected why did you request it so many times?
As for complaining about the price I charge I am sure you could find hostels that charge less than $28 USD per person, perhaps even cheaper than that but what type of hostels are those? Do they offer FREE wood, FREE storage, and FREE pick up to the airport like I do?
It will be hard for any other hosts to meet all your expectations, besides you and your husband were not easy guests. Good luck next time!
Monica is amazing! We had to arrive late and leave early on this stay and she arranged everything for us. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of five.
