Let our Casa be your Casa.
Our home for rent in San Miguel is only blocks away from La Parroquia and the Jardin. Importantly, the four blocks are not straight up a sharp hill! We have had guests of all ages (1-76) stay and they all found the walk easy. Even better, this close proximity is yours without having to endure the noisy night activity often found in the Centro. Our home, as can be seen on the attached map, is on a short one-way alley off of Umaran with only 5 residences. That means the street gets little traffic and noise but is close to everything and safe.
The home is perfect for couples due to the romantic master suite and sweeping views of San Miguel. We recently completed a remodel of the master bath to add a glass-enclosed soaking tub allowing you to soak while sipping wine (or tequila!) and gazing at the stars. The house is also perfect for families due to the many separate sleeping areas and bathroom facilities, and laundry.
It is an extremely comfortable three-story home broken down as follows--
Roof level: Master suite with full bath and tub and spectacular terrace for outdoor living. Fully furnished bedroom with boveda (arched brick ceiling), 22" flat panel TV, DVD player and DISH satellite TV w/HBO, double bed, nightstands, alarm clock/ipod dock. Romantic gas fireplace. Outdoor table with seating for 4, along with Zero Gravity lounger.
Second Floor: Bedroom, sleeping den, and Full bath. Bedroom with double bed adjoins to full bath and has a gas fireplace. Sleeping den has bunk bed with double bed on bottom and twin on top. Desk and chair.
Main Floor: Large gas Fireplace, Couch, Two Armchairs, Dining Table with seating for 4, Laundry, Stocked Kitchen with built-in gas stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, 42" Flat-Panel TV, DISH satellite TV, CD stereo, IPOD dock, region-free DVD player, and 1/2 Bath.
Connecting all floors is truly the most unique stairway you will see in San Miguel. Saltillo and talavera tiles and arches throughout add traditional charm.
Amenities: DISH satellite TV; WIFI throught house if you need to work, write, or surf; Local telephone; Magic Jack with unlimited US and Canada calls; Full Washer and Dryer; (Kids) Games. All linens, including plush towels. There is also a high chair and crib/playpen available on request. Most everything is new!
Fall 2013: We have just completed a full kitchen remodel and it is gorgeous! New stainless steel dishwasher, gas cooktop, built-in oven, and refrigerator. Granite counters, ornate tile backsplash, blue stained cabinets with Moroccan details. You will be more than pleased. We have added pictures but, alas, they do not do the house justice! Feel free to ask any questions if you want further information as to details.
This is a second home for us, hence, we can keep the cost reasonable yet still offer amazing location and comfort. If you decide to rent our home away from home, please let us know what we can do to make your stay more enjoyable or relaxing. We have an amazing housekeeper who can stock the refrigerator, provide more extensive cleaning during your stay, or babysit, upon advance request (for a fee).
We have an oustanding crew, including house manager and housekeeper, ready to greet you and make your stay unforgettable. We look forward to hosting you!
O. and P.

We enjoyed a terrific month in SMA, thanks to Onika & Petrus and their lovely home. Although not fancy, the house is extremely comfortable and spacious, especially in the vertical sense...where three floors allow for folks to spread out and enjoy the attractions...and privacy, of the three levels.
Of course, the crown jewel is the top floor terrace, which affords an unimpeded 40 mile view to the west, replete with distant mountains and frequently spectacular sunsets.
Then there is the location: at the western edge of the historic centro district, it is just a short (and, for some, steep) 5-minute walk to the Jardin and Parroquia; equally accessible is the vibrant Zacateros-San Antonio neighborhood, which includes the acclaimed cultural center, the Instituto Allende, as well as produce and art markets. Plus, there is an abundance of interesting and fine restaurants within ten minutes of Casa Nuestra.
Jessica, the extremely competent and helpful property manager, is just a phone call away, as is owner Petrus, who offers generous advice any time of day.
We plan to return may times!
La Casa Nuestra was a perfect home from which to enjoy and explore San Miguel de Allende. The organization of the home was great - lots of privacy, and comfort. A gas fireplace on each floor, a third floor bedroom with spectacular views day and night. We loved sleeping with the double doors open, with lots of fresh air. It was perfect for the two of us for our three-week stay - and perfect with our daughter and husband for a week, and another couple for a week. The hosts made sure that we were enjoying our stay.
The "magic box" phone made it possible to send and receive calls from the U.S. directly with no charge; the wi-fi worked perfectly throughout.
It was very close to the city center - but also to a wonderful bakery 3 blocks away, and many interesting restaurants. We walked everywhere we wanted to go except for a couple of taxi rides.
All amenities worked as described - great to have clothes washing and dish washing facilities.
We have absolutely no complaints, and hope someday to stay there again (perhaps even next year).
Petrus and his staff were a joy to work with. As it was our first visit to San Miguel we had tons of questions and Petrus joyfully provided the answers. Our stay at La Casa Nuestra was very relaxing. The home is comfortably furnished making you feel at home as soon as you open the front door. You must start off your day on the terrace with a cup of coffee and a book while once in a while glancing up at the incredible view that surrounds you. An evening glass of wine on the terrace doesn't do any harm to the eyes either. Awesome sunrise and sunsets. Everything you could possibly want to enjoy, dining, music, art, museums, the people and oh yes the architecture are all around you. I highly recommend hiring a cook during your stay, the gal we used was one of the highlights of our stay. If you are looking for the true meaning of "mi casa es su casa" look no further!
Onik'a and Petrus are great hosts! We loved staying at Casa Nuestra. It's well located, on a quiet street and very comfortable. We look forward to staying at Casa Nuestra next time we visit San Miguel de Allende.
We got there and Veronica was charming! Te house is so cute, cozy and the location was just perfect, few blocks from jardin, close to many great restaurants but quiet at the same time. We really enjoyed our stay at it, the terrace is beautiful and so relaxing! We highly recommend to make this your option in SMA!!!
Petrus and Onik'a are wonderful and welcoming hosts! Petrus called mid-way through our stay to check in, give us restaurant recommendations and tips on things to do. La Casa Nuestra is comfortable, lovely, and offers breathtaking sunset views that are equal to the rooftop lounge at the nearby luxury hotel.
Onika's & Petrus's place at Callejon Del Codo was superb! The location was close to everything but just a short distance away from the hub of activity to be quieter in the late evening. The layout in the home was terrific; our adult children had their own space and I had the top floor with the breathtaking view of the San Miguel. The home has every amenity you would want.
Please make sure you tell your taxi/shuttle driver that it is Callejon Del Codo, not Calle Del Codo but if you don't, it's only a short 5 minute walk to the correct address. Enjoy! We certainly did.
Our stay at "Casa Nuestra" was absolutely perfect. The hosts were very accessible and welcoming, as was their local house manager.
The house was extremely comfortable, unique and an easy walk to the main plaza. We were two female friends staying there and we felt very safe. My friend had call into Internet based meetings for work a few times and the connection was fast and flawless. The soaking tub on the top floor is great, and the view up there is really beautiful.
We both fell in love (as I hear many do) with San Miguel. When I return I'd love to stay at this wonderful house again.
This adorable and comfortable spot was a perfect home for my trip to San Miguel. Central and cozy, the kitchen was outfitted was everything I needed, the cool of the living room was a balm for the hot days, the airy rooftop deck a delight for the warm and sometimes breezy nights - and a prefect viewing spot for friends and I to watch the lunar eclipse which happened to coincide with my trip. Soaking in the rooftop tub was an exceptional treat. The hosts were well organized with advance contact, available while I stayed to field any questions, and even helped me shift departure time with no static. My only wish was that I could have shared the occasion with a handful of friends or family members - the house would be perfect for that. Enjoy.
This remarkably affordable rental is in the heart of central San Miguel and could not be at a better location-- it's quiet and on a side street but near everything within walking distance. When you walk out the door, you have arrived in the heart and soul of San Miguel.
The condo itself is on 3 floors, and it's rather cozy in size. It is very simply laid out. The 3rd floor has a deck with spectacular view, especially the sunsets. I am a watercolorist and I felt inspired to paint here-- I felt truly inspired. This place is not fancy or chic. It's not the Ritz Carlton. But for your money, it has an overall value that I rate very high. And the owners could not be more responsive to needs, questions or concerns. The internet wi-fi was great too. No schlepping up hills after a full meal.
I felt like I was gliding home to a familiar, easy-access place.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
